The activity, organized by Bidlisiw Foundation, Inc., was held today, September 29, 2026, at the CSWS Mandaue Conference Hall, to strengthen awareness and promote community-based support for children recovering from drug use.

This activity further aims to promote the Community-based Recovery Program for Children Who Use Drugs among SK Federation Members and explore its integration into existing programs and services for children and youth. It seeks to empower young leaders as advocates and champions at the barangay level while strengthening their understanding of the COMH-CRED model, including assessment, case management, family engagement, and recovery-oriented interventions. This knowledge can guide SK leaders in developing responsive programs and services for children who use drugs.

The journey begins!

Day 1 welcomed our young leaders through participant arrival, camping kit distribution, room assignments, camp orientation, and an exciting Entertainment Night filled with team creation, team names, yells, and fun games.

But beyond the fun, this 3-day Youth Leadership Camp carries a greater purpose: to equip young leaders with the skills, knowledge, confidence, and values needed to lead their respective youth organizations and to help shape a new generation of future Oponganon Youth Leaders.

Three days. One purpose. A stronger generation of youth leaders. ๐ŸŒŸ

Day 2 brought our young leaders into the heart of the camp experience!

The program officially opened with the welcome message from ๐Œ๐ซ๐ฌ. ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ž ๐„๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐š ๐‰๐จ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ, School Principal of Subabasbas Elementary School and then followed by ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐Ž๐ซ๐ฅ๐š๐ง ๐‰๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฉ๐ก ๐‚. ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ, SK Federation President, who ceremonially declared the camp OPEN, and ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐€๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž ๐๐ž๐ข๐ฅ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐˜๐š๐ฉ, City Councilor, who shared her message of support.

Our morning sessions featured meaningful learning with ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž ๐ƒ๐จ๐›๐ฅ๐ž through LYDO Talks, covering LYDO services, the Youth Development Council, Youth Development Plan, and other youth-related matters, followed by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จโ€™s session on Effective Communication in an Organizational Setting.

The afternoon turned learning into action through an exciting Amazing Race, facilitated by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ญ and his team, challenging participants to build teamwork, hard work, trust, and camaraderie.

The day concluded with a meaningful Mental Health and Wellness Session facilitated by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‰๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐จ ๐Ž. ๐๐š๐ง๐จ๐ง๐จ ๐‰๐ซ., reminding our young leaders to understand, care for, and respond to mental health concerns with compassion, ending with a therapeutic group song that brought smiles and shared happiness to everyone.

A day full of learning, laughter, challenges, and connections!

And just like that, three days of learning, leadership, friendship, and unforgettable memories come to an end.

Our final learning session, facilitated by ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ƒ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐จ๐ง ๐Š๐ข๐ง๐š๐š๐๐ฆ๐š๐ง of ๐‘๐๐„ ๐๐ฌ๐ฒ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐ข๐ซ ๐‘๐จ๐›๐›๐ฒ ๐„๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ณ, challenged our participants to look within, understand their own leadership nature, and discover how they can become more effective and purposeful leaders.

The camp culminated with another engaging activity facilitated by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐๐จ๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ญ and his team, strengthening camaraderie while giving everyone the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate their three-day journey.

Participants also shared words of gratitude to the people who became part of their experience, from their teacher-chaperones, organizers, speakers, facilitators, and fellow participants.

More than a camp, ๐‘โ†‘๐’๐„ ๐Ž๐๐Ž๐๐†๐€๐๐Ž๐! was a space where Oponganon youths learned to lead, serve, connect, and believe in their capacity to make a difference.

The campers have arrived!

The excitement is officially ON as youth leaders from different youth organizations across the city come together for the much-awaited 2nd Youth Leadership Summit!

Day 1 kicked off with a warm and festive welcome, complete with lively music, enthusiastic smiles, and the distribution of their official camp kits.

And this is just the beginning! Three days of learning, leadership, friendship, teamwork, and unforgettable experiences await our young leaders.
The journey has begun. The energy is rising. The future is calling. A NEW BREED OF OPONGANON LEADERS WILL SOON RISE!
