🔥 Strengthening Preparedness, Saving Lives 🔥

In line with its commitment to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR), the Naval Installation and Facilities – Southern Luzon (NIF-SL), through its Emergency Response Group, continues to strengthen its capacity to respond to fire-related emergencies.

In coordination with the Legazpi City Fire Station, on 30 June 2025, NIF-SL successfully conducted a fire safety training program aimed at enhancing our team’s skills and readiness in the following areas:

🚒 Fire Truck Operations
🚒 Fire Safety Awareness Seminar

This initiative marks another step toward building a mission-ready firefighting team capable of responding swiftly and effectively in times of crisis.

Strengthening Naval Healthcare: The Chief Nurse Navy Visits NIF-SL

On 09–10 July 2025, the Naval Installation and Facilities – Southern Luzon (NIF-SL) welcomed the The Chief Nurse Navy during her official visit, which aimed to assess the performance of PN nursing service personnel, evaluate morale, and address key issues and concerns affecting both the nursing staff and their clientele.

The visit featured a Courtesy Call to Commander, Naval Forces Southern Luzon, a Guest Book signing with the Commander NIF-SL, CDR RONY KEITH G MARQUEZ PN(GSC) and the Deputy Commander of NIF-SL, CDR STEWART L CABALI PN with an inspection of NIF-SL’s newly renovated Medical and Dental Dispensary.

In line with the activity’s objectives, a Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Training was conducted in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) Region V, actively participated in by officers and personnel of Naval Forces Southern Luzon. This engagement highlights the continued efforts to enhance medical readiness and emergency response across the fleet.
