From Livelihood Assistance to Community Empowerment!

The Rizal II Egg Production Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) has received a livelihood grant from the DSWD Field Office VIII – Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) —an investment not only in a livelihood project, but in the future and well-being of the community.

Through this assistance, the members of the SLPA are given an opportunity to build a sustainable source of income, improve their families’ economic well-being, and contribute to a more productive and self-reliant community. The egg production project can also create opportunities for local economic activity while strengthening the spirit of cooperation, shared responsibility, and community enterprise.

This meaningful initiative is made possible through the support of our ever-dynamic Municipal Mayor, Hon. Eleonor B. Lugnasin, and the continued partnership of the LGU Babatngon and DSWD-SLP.

Also in attendance were Hon. Cesar M. Davin, Barangay Chairperson of Rizal II, Hon. Edwin Umbao, Brgy. Councilor, MSWD Officer - Ms. Jeshella E. Roxas together with MSWDO staff - Mr. Nathaniel Coyos, and DSWD-SLP PDOs Ms. Niña Grace Mendoza, Ms. Jessica Talacay, and Ms. Eva Rubia.

✨ “A livelihood grant today, stronger families and a more empowered community tomorrow.”✨

✨3-Day Capacity Building Training for Child Development Workers✨

A meaningful and productive 3-day Capacity Building Training for Child Development Workers was successfully conducted on August 24–26, 2026at the Conference Hall, Busay Falls Resort, District 3, Babatngon, Leyte.

The training served as a valuable avenue for our Child Development Workers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and competencies in providing quality, responsive, and child-centered services to the children of Babatngon.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Eleonor Lugnaisn for the continued support and commitment to strengthening programs for our children and Child Development Workers. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the District Supervisors of Babatngon Districts Dr. Oliver Lampayan and Dr. Liberato Cobacha for their valuable partnership and support.
