Our commitment remains firm: to intensify our nutrition initiatives, expand our reach, and ensure efficient implementation across all communities.

​A productive morning as we kicked off the Tuberculin Skin Test Administration Training!

Napakahalaga ng training na ito dahil ang Tuberculin Skin Test ang isa sa mga pangunahing paraan para ma-detect nang maaga ang Tuberculosis bago pa ito lumala o makahawa sa iba.

​Kaya naman, lubos po ang ating pasasalamat sa ating City Mayor, Hon. Fernando Gonzalez sa kanyang walang-sawang pagsuporta sa mga ganitong programa na nagpapatibay sa serbisyong pangkalusugan sa ating lungsod.

Maraming salamat din po sa ating expert trainer, Dr. Elvy Barroso. ​We also warmly acknowledge and thank our dedicated partners from FATBFF who came to support this initiative: Vice President Dr. Laura Garcia and her husband Fernando Mendez, Epidemiologist Roberto Acevedo, Liaison Officer Claudette Barroso, and Intern Faith Simone Vidal.

The Local Health Board successfully conducted its monthly meeting today to discuss crucial updates and the next strategic steps for the health programs of Ligao City.
​Nanguna sa meeting ang ating masipag na Mayor, Hon. Fernando V. Gonzalez, kasama sina Dr. Wynns M. Samar (City Nutrition Action Officer), Kenn S. Nuyda (DMO IV, Provincial DOH Office), at ang iba pang mga katuwang mula sa City Health Office of Ligao.

Naging highlight sa meeting ang tagumpay ng Helen Arevalo Memorial Pap Smear Drive kung saan 78 kababaihan mula sa Ligao, Oas, at Guinobatan ang nakilahok. On a positive note, tuluy-tuloy pa rin po ang ating TB Specimen Collection and Transport para sa mas accessible na serbisyo. Mas pinalakas din ang kampanya laban sa Dengue sa pamamagitan ng Barangay Dengue Brigade at mas maayos na pagpapatupad ng waste management sa mga komunidad.

​Binigyang-pansin din ang mga updates sa Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Program sa pamamagitan ng PhilPEN at ang pagdiriwang ng May Measurement Month na nakatutok sa pag-iwas at pamamahala ng mga lifestyle diseases, lalo na’t nananatiling pangunahing sanhi ng sakit at kamatayan ang respiratory infections, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, at diabetes.

Samantala, patuloy naman ang paglawak ng programang PuroKalusugan kung saan matapos maabot ang 12 barangay noong 2025, nadagdagan pa ito ng 7 barangay na matagumpay na naseserbisyuhan sa kasalukuyan.

​Patuloy lang po ang ating pagtutulungan para sa kalusugan at kapakanan ng bawat mamamayan.

Matagumpay na nailunsad sa Batang, Ligao City ang May Measurement Month 2026 Campaign na may temang Proteksyon Para sa Altapresyon.

Bumisita at nakiisa sa programa sina Dr. Yu Lee Park mula sa WHO Philippines – Health Systems Strengthening Team, kasama ang mga kinatawan mula sa DOH Bicol Center for Health Development at representatives mula sa LGU-Ligao sa pamumuno ni City Mayor Fernando V. Gonzalez.

Ang kampanyang ito ay isang mahalagang paalala na ang altapresyon o hypertension ay isang kondisyon na kadalasan ay walang paunang sintomas o dai ta tulos napapansin kaya napakahalaga ng maagang pagsusuri at regular na blood pressure monitoring.

​Sa pamamagitan ng inisyatibong ito, malaki ang ating pag-asa at adhikain na mas mapababa ang mga kaso ng altapresyon sa ating komunidad at maiwasan ang mga kaakibat nitong sakit tulad ng stroke at karamdaman sa puso.

Kasama ang ating mga partner agencies at mga health workers layunin po natin na mas mapabuti at mapalawak pa ang mga serbisyong pangkalusugan na inihahatid natin sa bawat Ligaoeño.
