📍2nd Virtual Session
For our second virtual session of the Executive Education for Young Legislators at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, we had the privilege of learning from Dr. Caroline Brassard. Her expertise in public policy, disaster management, and evidence-based governance provided us valuable perspectives.
One insight that resonated with me was her reminder that disasters are not just natural events—they are also shaped by the decisions we make, the systems we build, and the communities we choose to prioritize. It was a meaningful reminder that good governance begins long before disasters happen.
Together with fellow young legislators from across the Philippines, we hope that we can translate these lessons into meaningful service for our people and communities.
