The Lopez Jaena Search and Rescue Team, headed by 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒓. 𝑮𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑴. 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒔, with the support of 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑳. 𝑮𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒛-𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔, conducted the installation of Early Warning Signage in Mansabay Bajo, Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental.

The signage was installed in an 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕-𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒆𝒂 to increase public awareness, promote road safety, and help prevent vehicular accidents and other untoward incidents.

This initiative reflects the local government’s continued commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and community safety.

Type of Incident: Self-Inflected Incident

Description of the Incident:
The victim, Dave Calimpong, a 27-year-old male a resident in Purok-1 Mansabay Bajo Lopez Jaena was involved in a Self-Inflected Incident. The incident occurred after the individual was struck by a falling coconut. The victim sustained wound in the head.

The victim was provided with immediate first aid assistance and transported to MOPH Oroquieta City for further medical interventions.

The patient’s condition was continuously monitored to ensure safety and prevent further complications.

The incident was properly documented for reporting and record purposes.

The Lopez Jaena Search and Rescue Team (LJSART) headed by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀 with the full support of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗟. 𝗚𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘇-𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘀, Municipal Mayor of Lopez Jaena, actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents held at Mindanao State University Community High School.

The activity was spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), in coordination with the Lopez Jaena Municipal Fire Station, government agencies, responders, school personnel, and other stakeholders.

The drill aimed to strengthen school preparedness, emergency response capabilities, situational awareness, and inter-agency coordination in addressing active attack incidents and other potential emergencies within the school community.

Through continuous training, collaboration, and preparedness, the LGU Lopez Jaena remains committed to promoting safe schools and resilient communities.

📍 September 3, 2026 — The Local Government Unit of Lopez Jaena, under the leadership of 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑨𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝑷𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑳. 𝑮𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒛-𝑪𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒔 through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), headed by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀, actively participated in the 2026 Gawad KALASAG Seal of Excellence Desk Evaluation conducted by the Office of Civil Defense Region X (OCD-X), together with its partner agencies.

The evaluation served as an opportunity to showcase the municipality’s continuing efforts in strengthening disaster preparedness, risk reduction and management, emergency response, and community resilience.

Through the collective efforts of the LGU, MDRRMO, partner agencies, responders, and the community, Lopez Jaena continues to uphold its commitment to building a safer, more prepared, and resilient municipality.

Description of the Incident:
The victim, Rey Sumalpong, a 47-year-old male a resident in Purok-1 Eastern Poblacion Lopez Jaena was involved in a Self-Inflected Incident. The patient suddenly collapsed while driving.

The victim was provided with immediate first aid assistance and transported to Rural Health Unit of Lopez Jaena for further medical interventions. The patient’s condition was continuously monitored to ensure safety and prevent further complications.

The incident was properly documented for reporting and record purposes.

Description of the Incident:
The victim, Christian Hernandez, driver of a Single Motor male a resident in Bato, Plaridel Misamis Occidental was involved in a Head-On-Collision incident .The victim suffered minor abrasion on his head.

Another victim, Diosto Buta a driver of tricycle male, a resident in Molatuhan Bajo. The victim suffered minor abrasion on his arm.

The victim was provided with immediate first aid assistance and refuse to go the the nearest medical facility. The patient’s condition was continuously monitored to ensure safety and prevent further complications.

The incident was properly documented for reporting and record purposes.
