𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 – 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon participated in the Committee Hearing of the Sangguniang Bayan of General Luna, Quezon on the proposed Ordinance No. 2, Series of 2026, entitled: “An Ordinance Strengthening the Monitoring of Gasoline, Diesel, and Basic Commodity Prices, Establishing an Anti-Overpricing and Consumer Protection Mechanism, and Providing for its Activation within the Municipality of General Luna, Quezon.”

Representing DTI Quezon were CTIDS Philip Leee J. Oliveros of the Consumer Protection Division, with the assistance of BC Randolph Avillo of Negosyo Center–Macalelon. During the hearing, DTI provided insights and recommendations on the salient provisions of the Price Act, the Consumer Act of the Philippines, and the Price Tag Law to support the refinement and effective implementation of the proposed ordinance.

This initiative underscores DTI Quezon’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs) in advancing consumer protection, promoting fair trade practices, and supporting the establishment of standards of conduct for businesses and industries.

DTI Conducts Information Dissemination during MaSPA General Assembly

On April 17, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon, through Negosyo Center Mauban, conducted an information dissemination of its programs and services during the General Assembly of the Mauban Solo Parents Association (MaSPA) held at Barangay Bagong Bayan, Mauban, Quezon.

Ms. Jaira Milca P. Locsin, Negosyo Center Business Counselor, discussed various DTI initiatives that support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those accessible to solo parents. These included business advisory services, entrepreneurship training, and potential market and financing opportunities.

The session aimed to equip participants with knowledge and practical guidance to enhance their entrepreneurial capacity and improve their economic resilience.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center (NC) Sariaya, in partnership with the LGU of Sariaya, successfully conducted the DIGITEQ: AI-Enabled Content Creation Training for Entrepreneurs on April 15, 2026, at Sariaya Municipal Hall.

The activity gathered 40 MSMEs from tourism enterprises and cooperatives, equipping them with practical skills in AI-powered content creation, digital marketing, and online branding.

Participants learned how to create captions, develop product storytelling, and design engaging social media content using accessible AI tools. Welcoming Message from Mayor Marivic T. Gayeta delivered through Ms. Estela Atienza, Executive Assistant I, and a message of support from Hon. Inday Tina Talavera of ALONA Partylist, highlighted the importance of digitalization in strengthening local businesses.

The training was facilitated by Ms. Maryrose Ganzon, with the program hosted by NC Sariaya Business Counselor Arnold D. Abang Jr.

Through hands-on sessions and mentoring, MSMEs enhanced their digital capabilities and gained confidence in promoting their products online.

This initiative reflects DTI’s continued commitment to empowering entrepreneurs through innovation and digital transformation.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Sariaya, participated in a consultation meeting organized by the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) on April 14, 2026, at the Mayor’s Conference Room, Sariaya Municipal Hall, Brgy. Sampaloc II, Sariaya, Quezon.

The activity gathered local government offices and stakeholders to conduct resource mapping in support of the PNR South Long Haul and South Commuter Infrastructure Projects.

DTI–Negosyo Center Sariaya Business Counselor Arnold D. Abang Jr. presented key programs on entrepreneurship development and market linkage to help affected families rebuild sustainable livelihoods.

The activity also included site visits to the Agri-Trading Facility Center and Buntal Processing Facility to assess potential areas for livelihood implementation.

This initiative underscores DTI’s continued commitment to inclusive and sustainable economic development for Project-Affected Families/Persons.

DTI Quezon Holds Seminar on Product Packaging and Labeling for MSMEs

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon, through the Negosyo Center Calauag, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Calauag – Municipal Tourism Office, conducted the seminar “Market-Ready Products through Proper Packaging and Labeling” on April 15, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Room, Brgy. Pinagbayanan, Calauag, Quezon.

The activity aimed to enhance the capability of local MSMEs in improving product presentation, ensuring proper labeling, and strengthening market competitiveness.

The seminar was hosted by Ms. Alliyah Nicole F. Gallego, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Calauag, and featured Ms. Rhoderlyn Dianne L. Imperio, Business Counselor of DTI Quezon, as the resource speaker, who shared practical insights on packaging, labeling standards, and product branding.

DTI Quezon continues to support MSMEs through capacity-building initiatives that promote business growth and development.

April 16, 2026 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Quezon, through Negosyo Center (NC) Dolores, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Dolores through the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), successfully conducted the "Dolores MSMEs Going e-Ready" training at the Municipal Training Center, Brgy. Bulakin II, Dolores, Quezon.

The training was conducted to equip Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with essential knowledge and digital skills to adapt to the rapidly evolving business landscape and to strengthen their business operations.

Highlighting the event was the Resource Speaker Session featuring Mr. Jayvee C. Pasoot, Information Systems Analyst I from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), who shared his expertise on digital tools for business growth, along with six (6) interactive activities that encouraged active participation from the MSMEs.

We are pleased to inform you that the Integrated Registration and Information System (IRegIS), a DTI digital platform in processing permits & accreditation, will be officially launched in CALABARZON, covering Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal, starting May 1, 2026. For the meantime, please be advised that DTI Batangas will continue to accept manual applications until further notice of processing online application.

Beginning on this date, all applications for DTI Sales Promotion Permits and Service and Repair Enterprises (SRE) in the said provinces shall be filed through the IRegIS online system to ensure a more efficient and convenient process.

For Sales Promotion stakeholders, please be guided as follows:
- Applications covering only one (1) province shall be handled by the concerned DTI Provincial Office.
- Applications covering two or more provinces or regionwide promotions shall be handled by the DTI Regional Office.

HAPPENING NOW: DTI Quezon Facilitates Entry Meeting with Catalyste+ for Flavors of Quezon POSAM Initiative

April 27, 2026 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon Provincial Office is currently facilitating an entry meeting at its office in Lucena City, in partnership with Catalyste+, in preparation for the implementation of the Point of Sale and Automated Management (POSAM) system for Flavors of Quezon.

The activity is attended by Ms. Carmen Gagnon, Canadian Adviser, Mr. France Dela Cuesta, Catalyste+ Project Officer, and DTI Quezon team led by Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa.

As part of the Catalyste+ Accelerated Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Program, the initiative aims to assist Flavors of Quezon in systematizing and digitalizing its operations, particularly in improving inventory management. The project is expected to enhance product tracking, streamline processes, and improve readiness for expanded market opportunities.

The activity reflects the shared commitment of DTI Quezon and its partners to empower local MSMEs through innovation, efficiency, and global competitiveness.
