REGULAR ON-SITE MONITORING OF SSFs MAINTAINED

The Department of Trade and Industry – Quezon Provincial Office successfully conducted an On-Site Monitoring and Assessment of maintained SSFs from August 11 to August 14, 2025.

This initiative, in collaboration with the DTI 4A Regional Office and the Commission on Audit IV-A, aimed to evaluate the current conditions of the facilities, identify any operational or compliance issues and provide recommendations for addressing these issues. Following the assessment and monitoring, actions will be taken based on the findings, including preparing the package of documents for the SSFs for donation, transfer, or disposal, and be able to schedule awarding of certificates of ownership.

The maintained SSFs are Alabat Island Farmers Producers Cooperative, New Gumaca Woodcraft MPC, Gumaca Coco Coir Consumers Cooperative, Lopez Otop Association, LGU Lopez, LGU San Narciso, Samahan ng Magsasakang Nagkakaisa ng Cambuga MPC, SLSU Infanfa, SLSU Lucban, Sicap Quezon, Gat-Uban Weavers Association, Sampaloc Weavers, LGU Candelaria, SARC MPC, and LGU Tiaong.

DTI-Quezon Conducts Site Visit to Sentrong Pamilihan ng Produktong Agrikultura sa Quezon Foundation, Inc. (SPPAQFI) for Proposed SSF Project in 2026

The DTI-Quezon conducted an initial site visit to Sentrong Pamilihan ng Produktong Agrikultura sa Quezon Foundation, Inc. (SPPAQFI) as part of the evaluation for its proposed Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project for 2026 headed by DTI-Quezon Division Chief Anna Marie V. Quincina, SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, and SPPAQFI President Mr. Carlo Cena.

The visit aimed to assess the suitability of the proposed site, determine the readiness and capacity of the proponent, and identify potential areas for assistance through the SSF program. During the visit, DTI representatives discussed the objectives, requirements, and implementation process of the SSF project, while SPPAQFI expressed its interest and commitment to participate. The findings from the site visit will serve as a basis for further evaluation of the proposal’s alignment with the goals of the SSF program for the upcoming year.

DTI-QUEZON through SHARED SERVICE FACILITIES (SSF) Program
conducts the Regular On-site Monitoring and Assessment at Candelaria, Quezon

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon Provincial Office headed by the BDD Division Chief, Ms. Anna Marie V. Quincina and SSF Provincial Coordinator, Ms. Ma Graciela C. Ledesma conducted its regular monitoring of the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) for Multi-Commodity located in Candelaria, Quezon.

The monitoring aimed to evaluate its operational status and ensure continued alignment with the objectives of the SSF Program. During the visit, it was confirmed that the facility is now equipped with a dedicated transformer and a stable water line, addressing previous utility concerns and enabling smoother operations. These recent improvements are expected to support more efficient production and better-quality output across the multiple commodities being processed.

Coordination Meeting with LGU Candelaria and OPA re. SSF for Multi-Commodity

The DTI-Quezon conducted a coordination meeting to discuss the operationalization of the Shared Service Facility (SSF) for Multi-Commodity located in Candelaria, Quezon. Present during the meeting were DTI-Quezon Division Chief Anna Marie V. Quincina, SSF Provincial Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, Ms. Eleonor Zabella from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), Municipal Agriculturist Mr. Ramon Nonato Plata, Engr. Reynante Plata from the Municipal Engineering Office, and the SSF beneficiary representative, Ms. Ester Lantican.

The discussion focused on identifying potential training programs that can be conducted within the facility, in collaboration with OPA, to enhance the skills and productivity of the beneficiaries. The group also discussed the timeline for the installation of water and electricity connections to the facility. While no definite schedule was initially provided, Mr. Plata assured the group that utility installation can be scheduled after the election, which will enable the full operation of the SSF.

DTI-QUEZON through SHARED SERVICE FACILITIES (SSF) Program
conducts the Regular On-site Monitoring and Assessment at Southern Luzon State University - Infanta Campus

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Quezon Provincial Office headed by the SSF Provincial Coordinator, Ms. Ma Graciela C. Ledesma, Administrative Officer II, Ms. Leizel A. Luneta conducted its regular monitoring of the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) for Nipa Sweeteners Production located in Infanta, Quezon.

The monitoring aimed to assess the status, utilization, impact of the equipment provided, also identifying any challenges encountered by the cooperator. During the monitoring, it was observed that the equipment is in good working condition and is being regularly used to support production activities, the cooperator, Dr. Violeto Coronacion has maintained proper documentation and equipment maintenance logs.

Full Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Equipment and Forty (40) hours of Training for the SSF Project on the Enhancement of Tahian sa Kooperatiba 🧵

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Quezon successfully delivered a complete set of equipment under the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Project on Enhancement of Tahian sa Kooperatiba. This initiative strengthens the cooperative’s capacity, boosts production efficiency, and improves product quality.

DTI Quezon assisted in the delivery and setup of the equipment, ensuring proper installation and readiness for use. They also provided guidance during the training sessions, assisting cooperative members in familiarizing themselves with the new machines.
