𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐎,𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐙𝐎𝐍- As part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the Reserve Force in the Polillo Group of Islands last 27 July, 2026, 𝐂𝐎𝐋 𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐄𝐎 𝐆. 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐌, 𝐎𝐒 (𝐆𝐒𝐂) 𝐏𝐀, 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 of the 404th (Quezon) Community Defense Center (CDC), together with 𝐌𝐀𝐉 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐎 𝐔. 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐙𝐀 (𝐑𝐄𝐒) 𝐏𝐀 , Executive Officer of the 404th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), organic personnel, and enlisted reservists, conducted a series of coordination visits with local government officials and key stakeholders.

The unit paid a courtesy call on 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗘. 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲, Municipal Administrator of Polillo and 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗢. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀, Municipal Vice Mayor of Polillo, where discussions focused on strengthening the Reserve Force and expanding support for reserve development initiatives within the municipality.

In Burdeos, Quezon, COL Addulam also paid a courtesy visit to 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗣. 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 , Municipal Mayor, and met with 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗼 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗝𝗿., Municipal Vice Mayor, as well as 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿, a local stakeholder. A key highlight of the visit was the ocular inspection of a proposed site for donation that may serve as the future training ground for the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT), demonstrating the shared commitment of the local government and the 404th CDC to enhance training capabilities in the island municipality.

The unit likewise visited the 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 (𝗤𝗣𝗡𝗛) and met with 𝗠𝘀. 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, Administrative Officer. The meeting focused on the medical requirements and application procedures for prospective BCMT trainees, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process for future applicants.

These engagements underscore the commitment of the 404th (Quezon) CDC to fostering strong partnerships with local government units and partner institutions while advancing the development of a capable, responsive, and sustainable Reserve Force in the Polillo Group of Islands.

Polillo, Quezon- On 26 July 2026, the 404th (Quezon) Community Defense Center (404CDC), 4th Regional Community Defense Group (4RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, successfully conducted the 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙨 (𝙍𝙊𝙏𝘾) 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙇𝙎𝙐 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨, with 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗘𝗢 𝗚 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗦 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, Provincial Director of 404CDC, as the Keynote Speaker; and 𝘿𝙧. 𝙀𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙡 𝙌. 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖, 𝙍𝙉, 𝙈𝘼𝙉, Campus Director of said university. Also present were ROTC Training Staff SY 2026-2027 and reservist of Quezon led by 𝙈𝘼𝙅 𝙍𝙊𝙈𝙐𝘼𝙇𝘿𝙊 𝙐 𝙈𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙊𝙕𝘼 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙀𝙎), Executive Officer of 404th (Quezon) Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion.

In his inspirational message, 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗠 emphasized the importance of the training to the freshman students which includes developing their discipline and character, instilling patriotism; and, preparing them for the defense of the nation and disaster response. He synthesized these objectives by putting acronym for ROTC- responsibility, opportunity, transformation; and, commitment. Responsibility to uphold discipline coupled with high regard on respect for country and its citizenry. Opportunity to develop individual skills for national defense preparedness and humanitarian & disaster response. Tranformation from civilian mentality to military character. And, commitment to absorb the challenges brought about by the training.

The event was also highlighted by the incorporation of six (6) ROTC graduates coming from Polillo island into the Reserve Force, AFP.

Meanhile, series of lectures were given to the cadets consist of course overview, military courtesy & discipline, military customs & tradition; and, military leadership. Moreover, initial drills and ceremonies were performed. These sessions provided cadets with essential military knowledge while instilling the core values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty.

This initiative reaffirms the strong partnership between the 404th (Quezon) Community Defense Center and SLSU Polillo Campus in developing youths through quality ROTC education and in developing future reservists who are ready to serve the nation with honor and dedication.

Tanay, Rizal- On 22 July 2026, 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗘𝗢 𝗚 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗠 𝗢𝗦 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, Provincial Director of the 404th (Quezon) Community Defense Center (404CDC), 4th Regional Community Defense Group (4RCDG), Reserve Command (RESCOM), Philippine Army, witnessed the ROTC Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) CY 2026 Awarding Ceremony presided by 𝗠𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗣 𝗭𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗣𝗔, Commander, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army, held at Camp General Mateo Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal.

The 404CDC proudly congratulates its only two (2) activated ROTC units for their outstanding achievements: Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Lopez ROTC Unit for 2nd Runner-Up with an overall rating of 96.20%; and, Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Lucban ROTC Unit for 3rd Runner-Up with an overall rating of 95.99%, out of participating universities and colleges across CALABARZON and MIMAROPA provinces. The awards were received by PUP Campus Director - 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙍𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇𝘿 𝙂 𝘽𝙐𝙇𝙁𝘼 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙀𝙎) and SLSU President - 𝘿𝙧. 𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙁𝙍𝙀𝘿𝙀𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙆 𝙏 𝙑𝙄𝙇𝙇𝘼 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙀𝙎), respectively. Likewise, the ROTC Commandants, Corps Commanders, and NSTP Coordinators of both schools witnessed the ceremony as well.

Notably, these accomplishments reflect the unwavering dedication, discipline, teamwork, and commitment of the cadets, school administrators, military instructors, and stakeholders in promoting excellence in ROTC training, leadership, and administration.

Meanwhile, the success of both schools underscores the 404CDC’s steadfast commitment to strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and developing disciplined, competent, and service-oriented citizen soldiers in support of nation-building and national security.

Lucban, Quezon - On 18 July 2026, the 404th (Quezon) Community Defense Center (404CDC), 4RCDG, RESCOM, PA under the leadership of 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗼 𝗚 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗢𝗦 (𝗚𝗦𝗖) 𝗣𝗔, its Provincial Director, in collaboration with the 85th Infantry Battalion, conducted the 2nd Quarter CY 2026 Ready Reserve Unit (RRU) Workshop, Ready Reserve Unit (RRU) Evaluation, and Reservist Leadership Training at Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Main Campus, Brgy Kulapi, Lucban, Quezon. The event aimed at evaluating the operational and administrative readiness of the reserve force in Quezon province, utilizing four (4) parameters consist of attendance, workshop performance, OPORD output; and, theoretical examination.

𝙇𝙞𝙚𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙅𝙚𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙧 𝙂 𝙋𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙩 𝙄𝙉𝙁 (𝙂𝙎𝘾) 𝙋𝘼, Commanding Officer of 85th Infantry Battalion, 2ID, PA, graced the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. 𝙇𝙞𝙚𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙏 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙚𝙨), Commanding Officer of 404th (Quezon) Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, 1701st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade, RESCOM, PA together with other Reservist Officers and Enlisted Reservist actively participated the activity.

Meanwhile, the event featured lectures on Military Decision Making Process (MDPM), leadership traits and principles, AFP Organization; and, Command and Staff Functions. Likewise, AFPMBAI provided lecture on Financial Literacy and Information Drive.

The workshop and evaluation coupled with leadership training reaffirms the commitment of the unit to develop competent, disciplined, and mission-ready reserve force that are capable of supporting the Philippine Army's vision of becoming a world-class, multi-mission-ready, and cross-domain capable force.
