Greetings to everyone!
First of all, may I join you and your family in prayer for all of us to be blessed continually by the Lord with good health, protection from all harm and danger and provision for all our needs.
October 5, 2020 is the D-Day. We will be finally starting our classes for School Year 2020-2021. The journey has been so challenging to all of us. There were uncertainties and anxieties – even times that we had convinced ourselves that it will not work. Indeed, it was a journey that really tested and measured the strength of our resolve to pursue education amidst these trying times.
This early, I would like to express my admiration and salute to all our teachers, school heads, supervisors, educational leaders, local government officials, stakeholders and especially the media for taking each of their respective roles seriously in making possible a challenge posted by the global pandemic: for education to continue.
Tomorrow will be the acid test of our collaboration and partnerships which started from the conceptualization phase to translating the doables, to consultations, to provision of resources, to setting standards and systems. Now that we are about to see how our efforts come to fruition, may I urge everyone to place SAFETY FIRST in all our processes and activities by strictly observing proper health protocols and guidance of the LGU’s health severity risks assessment. Let us never relax our observance of these protocols.
Our journey up to this point is already a milestone and this is something that we can be proud of. However, let us not leave our guards down. Let us continue to be alert, to be pro-active and open to changes and improvement as we will definitely be confronted with more expressions of doubt, distrust and yes, skepticisms. Shall we all hold our hands together and face all these with deeper circumspection but with a stronger confidence.
Let us flood all platforms with our best practices and preparations, stories that can inspire and motivate, pictures that can move people to positive actions. As ONE SOCCSKSARGEN, let us show our strength and resilience. As ONE SOCCSKSARGEN, let us earn the trust and support of everyone by taking an extra mile on the delivery of our services. As ONE SOCCSKSARGEN, let us show them that we are not giving up on our children’s future.
