🏗️ Construction of Perimeter Fence at the Covered Gym

The construction of the Perimeter Fence at the Barangay Covered Gym is now underway through the 20% Development Fund for Fiscal Year 2026. This project reflects the Barangay's commitment to improving public infrastructure, ensuring the safety and security of residents, and preserving our community facilities for everyone's benefit.

Once completed, the perimeter fence will provide better protection for the covered gym, enhance its appearance, and create a safer venue for sports, community gatherings, and other barangay activities.

🌳 ARBOR DAY 2026 ACTIVITY🌳

In line with the observance of Arbor Day 2026, Barangay Balighot, Municipality of Maayon, Province of Capiz, successfully conducted a Tree Growing Activity as part of its continuing commitment to environmental protection, reforestation, and the preservation of natural resources.

The activity was spearheaded by the Barangay Local Government Unit of Balighot under the leadership of the HON. MELADY D. CALINAO, together with the Sangguniang Barangay Members, barangay functionaries, volunteers, and participating residents. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, strengthen community participation, and encourage collective action in caring for and protecting the environment.

Through the planting of tree seedlings, the barangay hopes to contribute to the restoration of greener spaces, prevention of soil erosion, and improvement of the overall ecological condition of the community. This initiative reflects Barangay Balighot’s support for programs that foster environmental responsibility and sustainable development for the benefit of present and future generations.

Barangay Balighot extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful undertaking.
