𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 // 13th Military Instruction

On May 3, 2026, the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology – Madridejos ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 13th Military Instruction for the Second Semester, S.Y. 2025–2026. The activity focused on strengthening discipline, enhancing teamwork, and further developing the cadets’ physical and mental preparedness.

At exactly 0730H, cadets assembled at the designated training area and began the session with physical conditioning exercises aimed at improving endurance, alertness, and resilience. This was followed by attendance checking and hygiene inspection to ensure that all cadets observed proper military appearance, discipline, and accountability before the formal training proper.

At around 0800H, the cadets proceeded to the parade grounds for drills and ceremonies. Under the supervision of TAC NCO CPL Aris B. Biso PA (Res), together with the Advanced ROTC Officers and Aspirants, cadets performed marching drills, command ex*****on, alignment, and coordinated formations. The activity highlighted the importance of precision, unity, discipline, and prompt response to commands.

As part of the preparation for the upcoming ROTC Graduation and Turnover of Command Ceremony on Saturday, May 23, 2026, both the Basic Cadets and Advanced ROTC Officers intensified their practices and rehearsals during the training. The cadets were guided in perfecting their formations, ceremonial procedures, and overall military bearing to ensure a disciplined and successful conduct of the upcoming event.

Throughout the instruction, cadets demonstrated enthusiasm, cooperation, and commitment in every activity. Their active participation reflected their continuous improvement and dedication to the ROTC program and its core values.

The 13th Military Instruction concluded successfully, serving as another meaningful training experience that enhanced the cadets’ confidence, camaraderie, leadership, and readiness to become disciplined and responsible citizen-soldiers.

LOOK // 12TH MILITARY INSTRUCTION

On April 26, 2026, the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology – Madridejos ROTC Unit carried out its 12th Military Instruction at Montemar Beach Resort, Baigad, Bantayan, Cebu. The training integrated Basic Water Survival, First Aid, and Small Unit Tactics (SUT), aiming to develop the cadets’ adaptability, resilience, and teamwork in a dynamic outdoor environment.

The activity began early at 0600H with the assembly of cadets, followed by attendance checking and a detailed safety briefing. Emphasis was placed on discipline, strict compliance with instructions, and the importance of the buddy system. Warm-up and breathing exercises were conducted to prepare the cadets for the physically demanding activities ahead.

The water survival training introduced cadets to essential techniques such as breath control, floating methods including back float and survival float, and treading water. These exercises focused on maintaining calmness, conserving energy, and building confidence in open water.
Although some cadets initially struggled, continuous guidance from CPL Aris B. Biso PA (Res), SGT Melvin A. Carano-o, and the support of Advanced ROTC Officers helped them gradually adapt and improve their performance.

Parallel to the water activities, cadets also engaged in Small Unit Tactics (SUT), practicing movement, coordination, and communication within a team. These exercises strengthened their awareness, discipline, and ability to operate effectively in group-based scenarios.

A First Aid activity was also conducted by the First Class Officers, where cadets underwent a series of practical exercises while carrying wooden rifles. The cadets walked and ran through five designated stations, each presenting different first aid scenarios and challenges. Every station tested their ability to respond quickly, apply basic emergency procedures, handle casualties properly, and maintain teamwork under pressure. The activity not only enhanced their physical endurance but also developed their decision-making, cooperation, and sense of responsibility during emergency situations.

The training concluded at around 1100H with cool-down exercises and a short reflection. Cadets were commended for their perseverance, cooperation, and willingness to overcome challenges throughout the activity.

The 12th Military Instruction proved to be more than just a training exercise it was an opportunity for cadets to build confidence, enhance survival skills, and strengthen teamwork. The experience reinforced the importance of discipline, preparedness, and unity in shaping capable and responsible citizen-soldiers.

The training was centered on sharpening discipline, improving unit coordination, and sustaining the cadets’ physical and mental readiness.

At 0730H, cadets gathered at the training area and opened the session with physical conditioning exercises designed to develop stamina, focus, and resilience. A hygiene inspection and attendance checking followed, ensuring that all cadets maintained proper military bearing and accountability before the start of formal instruction.

At around 0800H, the cadets moved to the parade grounds for drills and ceremonies. Guided by TAC NCO CPL Aris B. Biso PA (Res), with the assistance of Advanced ROTC Officers and Aspirants, the cadets practiced command ex*****on, marching movements, alignment, and synchronized formations. The activity emphasized precision, discipline, and immediate response to commands.

Throughout the instruction, cadets displayed determination, cooperation, and eagerness to learn. Their strong participation reflected their continued growth and dedication to the ROTC program.

The training aimed to further strengthen the cadets’ discipline, coordination, and mastery of fundamental military drills.

At 0730H, cadets assembled at the training area and began the session with physical exercises to build endurance and alertness. This was followed by a hygiene inspection and attendance checking within each platoon to ensure proper bearing, organization, and accountability before proceeding with the main activities.

By 0800H, the cadets transitioned to the drill area for intensive practice on basic military drills. Under the guidance of TAC NCO CPL Aris B Biso PA (Res), along with Advanced ROTC Officers and Aspirants, the cadets refined their ex*****on of commands, focusing on sharp movements, correct posture, alignment, and synchronized actions. The training emphasized precision and discipline, essential qualities of a competent cadet.
Throughout the activity, cadets displayed strong cooperation, focus, and eagerness to improve. Their active participation highlighted their growing confidence and commitment to the ROTC program.
