Arbor Day Celebration 2026

The Sangguniang Bayan Office, together with the different departments and offices of the Local Government Unit of Magsaysay, in partnership with various national government agencies, actively participated in the Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Growing Activity held along the Linugos River in Barangay Cabalawan, Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental.

This activity highlights our collective commitment to environmental protection, riverbank rehabilitation, and the promotion of a greener and more sustainable future for the people of Magsaysay.

The Committee on Public Works, Housing and Land Utilization conducted a committee meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2026, regarding the concerns on the Lighting project in Cabantian, Kibungsod, and Candiis. Representatives from the DPWH District Office and engineers from the awarded contractor were present during the discussion.

The meeting was presided over by Committee Chairman Hon. Mario C. Bentonio and Vice Chair. Hon. Shalako L. Uba Also present were committee members Hon. Johnnylou F. Roxas, Hon. Lijun C. Mendoza, Hon. Gemelo L. Cortez, and Hon. Christian Blaise Gerona, together with Engr. Kakilgan from the Municipal Engineer’s Office and Brgy. Captain Acaso of Kibungsod.

The 44th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Magsaysay was successfully held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the SB Session Hall in accordance with its regular schedule.

Presided over by Vice Mayor Bernard Buhisan, the session was attended by the honorable members of the Sangguniang Bayan together with invited guests.

The session discussed matters concerning local governance, public service, and community development for the Municipality of Magsaysay.
