Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 132, work in government offices and classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be suspended in the National Capital Region and the following provinces at 1:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026, in anticipation of the further enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) by the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR):

Barangays are required to post the distribution of assistance to their Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars on their official pages.

This is part of the official guidelines for the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-038.

For monitoring, the guidelines specifically require the Facebook post link showing that the assistance was distributed to the identified scholars.

Barangays are also directed to post official or authorized photo documentation and scholar testimonials using the program hashtags and .

Each barangay has ₱100,000 allotted for five scholars, with each beneficiary receiving ₱20,000 to help cover tuition, school supplies, transportation, meals, and other education-related expenses needed to complete their studies.

The Facebook post does not replace the program's formal records. Scholars are still required to sign an acknowledgement receipt confirming that they received the ₱20,000 assistance.

SUSPENSYON NG FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES AT IMPLEMENTASYON NG ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS | AGOSTO 19, 2026

Suspendido ang lahat ng face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Taguig. Ipatutupad ang alternative learning modalities upang maipagpatuloy ang mga klase.

Samantala, ipatutupad ang naaangkop na alternative work arrangements sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan. Patuloy namang magbibigay ng serbisyo ang mga ahensiyang nangangasiwa sa basic at health services, disaster response, at iba pang mahahalagang serbisyo.

Para sa pribadong sektor, ang suspensiyon ng trabaho o pagpapatupad ng alternative work arrangements ay nakasalalay sa pamunuan ng bawat kompanya.

Hangga’t maaari, iwasan muna nating lumabas. Kung kinakailangang bumiyahe, huwag kalimutang magdala ng payong o kapote at manatiling alerto.
