DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR 58 BENEFICIARIES BEDRIDDEN WITHIN MAKILALA NORTH COTABATO.

The Person with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) of Makilala, North Cotabato conducted the distribution of financial assistance for 58 bedridden persons on August 14, 2026. This initiative is in line with the Local Government Unit of Makilala, North Cotabato, under the banner "Inclusive Makilala: Para sa Lahat!" and was made possible through the leadership and approval of Honorable Mayor Armando M. Quibod alongside the active support of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members. The program ensures that Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), especially those who are bedridden, receive the necessary support and assistance from the local government, carrying out the message "Tuloy ang Serbisyong para sa PWDs!"

I'm so proud of you...

Muling pinatunayan ng Persons With Disability (PWDs) mula sa iba’t ibang bayan sa lalawigan ng Cotabato na hindi hadlang ang kanilang kapansanan upang makamit ang kanilang mga mithiin, maipamalas ang kanilang kakayahan at mabigyan ng pantay na pagkakataong maging aktibong kabahagi sa pagpapaunlad ng lipunan.

Nagsilbing daan ang idinaos na 4th Serbisyong Totoo Kalivungan Paralympics ng pamunuan ni Gov. Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza ngayong araw, Agosto 12, 2026 sa The Basket, Capitol Compound, Amas, Kidapawan City upang maipamalas ng mga PWDs ang kanilang husay, talento at determinasyon sa sports events na inihanda ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa pangangasiwa ng tanggapan ni Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Arleen A. Timson. Magtatagisan ng lakas at diskarte ang mga partisipante sa larong dart, chess, boccia, at basketball (3-point line shoot out).

Ang Paralympics ang isa sa mga tampok na aktibidad ng kapitolyo sa pagdiriwang ng 112th Founding Anniversary ng lalawigan kung saan nakiisa sa opening program nito sina Board Members Shirlyn Macasarte-Villanueva, Ivy Martia Lei Dalumpines-Ballitoc at Joemar S. Cerebo bilang mga kinatawan ni Gov. Taliño-Mendoza. Dito, binigyang-diin ng mga opisyal ang kahalagahan ng patuloy na pagbibigay-suporta at pagkakataon sa nasabing sektor upang maipakita na sila ay may natatanging potensyal sa iba’t ibang larangan. 🌟 Celebrating National Disability Rights Week in Makilala! 🌟

A resounding success! We are thrilled to share that over 400 participants from various barangays gathered to celebrate National Disability Rights Week. In line with this year’s nationwide theme, "Rights First, Legislation Forward: Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development" our municipality stood together to champion inclusion, empowerment, and access for all.

This monumental event was made possible through the unified efforts of the PWD presidents from every barangay, working hand-in-hand with the PWD Federation of Makilala and the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) under the MSWDO.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our ever-supportive Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod, Vice Mayor Atty. Ryan D. Tabanay, and the Sangguniang Bayan members. Your relentless dedication to uplifting this sector makes initiatives like this a reality.

A special thank you to our partner line agencies DOLE, COMELEC, DTI, and BJMP for gracing the event and sharing invaluable avenues of support and services with the community. Furthermore, our heartfelt appreciation goes out to the Rural Health Unit of Makilala for their vital partnership in conducting free medical checkups and distributing free prescribed medicines to the attendees.

Today, May 21, 2026, the newly elected PWD Federation Officers officially took their oath of office at the Municipal Sangguniang Bayan Hall of Makilala.
​The ceremony was proudly administered by Sangguniang Bayan Member, Honorable Romnick Cabaron . Congratulations to our new leaders! We look forward to your dedicated service and leadership in empowering the PWD sector of Makilala.
