FAMILY STRENGTHENING AND YOUTH GUIDANCE DAY
May 26, 2026

As part of the Municipal Intervention Program under Oplan Bata for Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), the Family Strengthening and Youth Guidance Day was successfully conducted on May 26, 2026, with the active participation of both minors and their parents or guardians.

The one-day activity aimed to strengthen family relationships, promote responsible behavior among the youth, and enhance parental involvement in the development and guidance of their children. The program featured a series of symposiums and seminars covering important topics such as the Curfew Ordinance and Child Protection Laws, Family Strengthening, and Spiritual and Values Formation. A Parenting Seminar was also conducted to equip parents with effective parenting strategies and reinforce their vital role in nurturing responsible and law-abiding children.

For the youth participants, a Life Skills Workshop was facilitated, focusing on Decision-Making Skills and Peer Pressure Management, enabling them to make informed choices and resist negative influences. To further strengthen family bonds and encourage teamwork, a Joint Parent-Child Team Building Activity was conducted, fostering cooperation, trust, communication, and mutual understanding among participants.

The activity served as an avenue for learning, reflection, and family engagement, supporting the municipality's commitment to child protection, youth development, and the rehabilitation and reintegration of CAR and CICL into the community.
