Sa unang linggo ng buwan, isinagawa ng Sangguniang Bayan ng Makilala ang regular na sesyon nito upang talakayin at pagtibayin ang iba’t ibang panukala at hakbang na naglalayong itaguyod ang kapakanan at kagalingan ng mga mamamayan ng Makilala. Narito ang ilan sa mga mahahalagang panukalang inaprubahan sa nasabing sesyon:

📍Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod to Purchase Two (2) Lots, Equivalent to Thirty Thousand Five Square Meters, more or less, (30,005 sq.m.), Registered under the name of Mario Casimero bearing Lot 60, PSD-12-055355(AR) with TCT No. CT-28140, measuring 15,002 square meters, more or less and Joery Bernal bear8ing Lot 61, PSD-12-055355(AR) with TCT No. CT-28141, measuring 15,003 square meters, more or less, both situated at Barangay Malabuan, Makilala, Cotabato with an Aggregate Offer to Sell of PhP 4,500,000.00, to be used as Expansion Site/Area for the Affected IDP’s during the series of earthquakes last October of 2019.

📍Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod, representing the Municipal Government of Makilala to enter into and sign the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with ACLC College of Marbel, represented by Amber Marie V. Pagarigan, MSCpE, School Director, in relation to the On-the-Job Training Program for Ms. Mary Jean A. Capiña, student trainee and a student of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Human Resource Development Management Program.

📍Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod, representing the Municipal Government of Makilala to Sign and Accept the Deed of Donation (DOD) of a 4,000-square meter parcel of land located at Sitio Patulangon, Barangay Malasila, Makilala, Cotabato, donated by Armando Realty Corporation, represented by its President, Mrs. Conchita Gabi Quibod, as site for the Construction of the Proposed Municipal Hospital of Makilala, a project that is intended to be funded by the National Government.

📍Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod representing the Municipal Government of Makilala to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with DOLE Regional Office XII, for the Implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DLP).

📍Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Cotabato Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Cotelco) for the Implementation of Various Electrical Line Extension Projects within the Municipality of Makilala.

Bukod dito, nagbigay ng Courtesy Call sa Sangguniang Bayan ang Acting Jail Warden ng Makilala District Jail na si JSInsp DARIUS V TENCHAVEZ upang ipresenta ang mga kasalukuyang programa at inisyatiba ng kanilang tanggapan, talakayin ang mga posibleng programang pagtutulungan para sa kapakanan ng mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Patuloy ang Sangguniang Bayan sa pagsasabuhay ng tapat, makabuluhan, at responsableng paglilingkod para sa bawat Makilaleño. Gusto Kita, Makilala! 🫡

40th Regular Session 🇵🇭
July 22, 2026

Another productive week for the 40th Sangguniang Bayan of Makilala as it successfully convened its 40th Regular Session, approving measures that promote the welfare and best interests of the Makilaleños.

One of the measures approved on Third and Final Reading was an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance Institutionalizing a Reward System for Athletes who bring Prestige and Honor to the Municipality of Makilala in their Outstanding Performance in Regional, National and International Sports Competition and Tournaments, Appropriating funds in relation thereto and for Other Purposes," authored by HON. ROMNICK E. CABARON, MBA and co-authored by HON. LUCKY ROJEAN E. FLORES.

The August Body also confirmed the designation and appointment of HAROLD AGUANAN, the newly elected Student Council President, and JAYMARK VARGAS, the newly elected Alumni Association President, as new members of the Makilala Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Governing Board. Congratulations to both of you on your appointment. May your leadership and commitment contribute to the continued growth and excellence of MIST.

Together, we continue to craft policies and enact legislation that foster inclusive growth, responsive governance, and a brighter future for our municipality. Gusto Kita, Makilala! 💟

39th Regular Session
July 15, 2026

What a lengthy yet productive Regular Session, which concluded at exactly 4:42 PM. Among the significant measures deliberated upon by the august body was the approval, on Third and Final Reading, of the Ordinance Institutionalizing the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration every August in the Municipality of Makilala to be locally known as “PASABBADE KABATAAN FEST”, and Providing Funds Thereof.

The august body also approved on Second Reading authored by Hon. Romnick E. Cabaron, MBA and Co-authored by Hon. Lucky Rojean E. Flores, the Ordinance Institutionalizing a Reward System for Athletes who bring Prestige and Honor to the Municipality of Makilala in their Outstanding Performance in Regional, National and International Sports Competition and Tournaments, Appropriating funds in relation thereto and for Other Purposes

The august body likewise approved a Resolution authorizing the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Armando M. Quibod, to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), represented by Ms. Sharlyn Lee S. Armstrong, for the implementation of the Bachelor of Science in Social Work Field Instruction Program.

Also approved was a Resolution adopting and approving the Manual of Operations of the Kapalinan Center, which shall serve as the official guide for the Center's overall management, administration, and operations.

Through dedicated public service and good governance, we continue to work together for a better Municipality of Makilala—because Gusto Kita, Makilala.

38th Regular Session
July 8, 2026

Despite the cloudy Wednesday skies, the 40th Sangguniang Bayan convened for its 38th Regular Session.

During the session, the august body approved several barangay appropriation measures in the exercise of its legislative and oversight functions.

The Sangguniang Bayan likewise approved requests from the Office of the Municipal Mayor, including a Resolution authorizing the Municipal Mayor to grant a financial incentive in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (PhP50,000.00) to Mr. Charles Heiron F. Gonzales, the official candidate of Mister Teen Philippines 2026 representing the Municipality of Makilala, in recognition of his victory in the national pageant and for bringing pride and honor to the municipality. Charles Heiron Fiel Gonzalez was crowned Mister Teen Philippines 2026 during the Grand Coronation Night on June 28, 2026, in Baguio City. The prestigious national pageant recognizes exceptional young individuals who demonstrate excellence in youth advocacy, talent, leadership, and community service.

Our love for Makilala is expressed not only in words but also in action. Through responsive legislation and dedicated public service, the Sangguniang Bayan proudly lives the spirit of Gusto Kita, Makilala!

4th Special Session
July 3, 2026

In view of the request of the Honorable Municipal Mayor, Armando M. Quibod, for the Sangguniang Bayan to convene in a Special Session to deliberate on and approve various legislative measures necessary for the continued operation of the Municipal Government of Makilala, as well as for the implementation of the priority programs and projects, the 40th Sangguniang Bayan convened and subsequently deliberated upon and approved the following measures, to wit:

📖PROPOSED RESOLUTION ADOPTING/APPROVING THE SUPPLEMENTAL INVESTMENT PLAN NO. 1 OF THE 20% ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FUND OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAKILALA, COTABATO FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2026 IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN MILLION THREE HUNDRED NINETY-ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE PESOS AND NINETY–FOUR CENTAVOS (Php 15,391,525.94).

📖PROPOSED RESOLUTION ADOPTING/APPROVING THE SUPPLEMENTAL INVESTMENT PROGRAM NO. 3 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAKILALA, COTABATO FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2026 IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE MILLION TWO HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FOUR PESOS AND SEVENTY-SEVEN CENTAVOS (₱189,295,504.77).

📖PROPOSED RESOLUTION ENACTING AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET NO. 3 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAKILALA, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2026 IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO MILLION EIGHT HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT PESOS AND EIGHTY-THREE CENTAVOS (PHP 152,810,468.83).

📖PROPOSED RESOLUTION ENACTING AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET NO. 4 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAKILALA, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2026 IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVEN MILLION TWO HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE PESOS AND FORTY-FOUR CENTAVOS (PHP 7,295,955.44).

These measures were duly reviewed, deliberated upon, and approved by the Sangguniang Bayan to ensure that every budgetary allocation, program, project, and activity is in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations, and to promote the efficient, transparent, and accountable delivery of public services for the benefit of the constituents of the Municipality of Makilala.

With the approval of these measures, we can truly say, “Gusto Kita, Makilala,” a phrase that expresses our love for, appreciation of, and commitment to our beloved Municipality of Makilala.

37th REGULAR SESSION
July 1, 2026

Kicking off the month with meaningful legislative accomplishments as the 40th Sangguniang Bayan convened its 37th Regular Session, approving various legislative measures, including matters certified as urgent by the Local Chief Executive.

Among these was the approval of a resolutions providing enhanced support for the faculty and personnel of the Makilala Institute of Science and Technology, recognizing their invaluable contribution to quality education and institutional development.

📖Resolution Adopting and Approving MIST-GB Resolution No. 11, Series of 2026, entitled: “Resolution Approving the Honorarium Matrix for Plantilla Academic Personnel based on Budget Circular No. 2007-2 of the Department of Budget and Management Guidelines No. 4.9, as Amended”.

📖Resolution Adopting and Approving MIST-GB Resolution No. 13, Series of 2026, entitled: “Resolution Approving the Salary Increase, Providing New Salary Rate Matrix for the Contract of Service Faculty Personnel of the Makilala Institute of Science and Technology, as Amended”.

📖Resolution Adopting and Approving MIST-GB Resolution No. 15, Series of 2026, entitled: “Resolution Approving the MIST Graduate Study Financial Assistance Program and Prescribing the Criteria, Requirements, Selection Process and Termination Procedures, as Amended”.

With every ordinance and resolution, the 40th Sangguniang Bayan continues to strengthen public service. With this, we can really say, “Gusto Kita Makilala”—an invitation for the public to get to know our municipality more through its programs, initiatives, and achievements.

36th REGULAR SESSION 🇵🇭
June 24, 2026

Another productive week for the 40th Sangguniang Bayan of Makilala as it successfully approved various measures geared toward the advancement of the municipality and the general welfare of its constituents.

Included among the approved measures were several sectoral plans for Calendar Year 2027, which are expected to strengthen local development initiatives and enhance the delivery of public services across different sectors of the community.

In line with its commitment to responsive and people-centered legislation, the Sanggunian likewise approved a resolution authored by Hon. Liezel Mae C. Caoagdan, JD, MPA, to wit:

📍Resolution Urging all Public and Private Schools in the Municipality of Makilala strengthen School Security Measures and Establish a Multi-sectoral School Safety Program to protect learners from Violence, Crime, Bullying, and other threats to their safety and well-being.
