As part of the continuing efforts to strengthen jail operations and personnel performance, ๐‰๐‚๐’๐”๐๐“ ๐‹๐„๐Ž๐๐€๐‹๐˜๐ ๐Ž ๐Ž๐‹๐Ž๐€๐, MPSA, Regional Director of BJMP-BARMM, conducted a jail inspection and Talk to Troops at Malabang District Jail, led by ๐’๐‰๐Ž๐Ÿ ๐€๐›๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐Ÿ ๐’ ๐Œ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐, Acting District Jail Warden.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess the jailโ€™s operations and facility conditions, while the Talk to Troops served as an avenue for personnel engagement and the sharing of guidance concerning their duties and responsibilities. The activity further strengthened the commitment of Malabang District Jail to effective jail management and quality safekeeping and development services for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

The activity brought together the participating courts and legal teams to attend to their respective Persons Deprived of Liberty clients at Malabang District Jail. A total of thirty (30) PDLs were provided with legal consultation and case review, allowing them to discuss their respective cases, clarify legal concerns, and receive appropriate guidance regarding their case status.

Furthermore, the Court Social Worker conducted an interview with one (1) female PDL to assess her social background, welfare needs, and specific concerns for appropriate court intervention and assistance.

The joint activity strengthened coordination among the participating courts, legal service providers, and Malabang District Jail in ensuring that the legal concerns and welfare needs of Persons Deprived of Liberty are properly addressed.

The activity was conducted by the ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž (๐‹๐‡๐ˆ๐Ž) - ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ฐ๐ข, in collaboration with ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐จ ๐. ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐งฬƒ๐ž๐ซ ๐‰๐ซ. ๐€๐ฅ-๐‡๐š๐ฃ ๐Œ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ, providing health assessment, medical consultation, PhilHealth verification through biometric facial scanning, and appropriate healthcare assistance, including prescribed medicines, to the PDLs. The LHIO Marawi also extended additional support by providing food packs to the PDLs.

The lecture covered essential life-saving procedures, including the recognition of cardiac arrest, proper CPR performance, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and appropriate response to choking incidents.

The activity provided personnel and PDLs with valuable knowledge and awareness on proper emergency response, strengthening their readiness to provide immediate assistance during life-threatening situations within the facility.
