The Municipality of Malabuyoc together with Munipal Social Welfare and Development Office and Municipal Health Office Celebrating Hope and Support: Solo Parent Week with the heartfelt theme, “Hindi ka Nag-iisa sa Iyong Pag-iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent,” our municipality proudly conducted the Solo Parent Week Celebration, bringing together meaningful programs and services dedicated to honoring and supporting solo parents in the community.

The celebration highlighted the strength, resilience, and unconditional love of solo parents who continue to face life’s responsibilities with courage and determination. It served as a reminder that while solo parenting may come with many challenges, no solo parent should ever feel alone. Our municipality stands ready to provide support, care, and opportunities for a better future.

One of the major highlights of the event was the PhilHealth Registration and Updates, where solo parents were assisted in registering and updating their membership information. Access to healthcare is an important need for every family, and this initiative helped ensure that solo parents and their children can receive the medical support they deserve.

Another significant part of the celebration was the Distribution of Financial Assistance. This assistance brought relief and encouragement to many solo parents as they continue to provide for their families. More than financial help, it symbolized the municipality’s recognition of their sacrifices and commitment to easing their burdens.
The event also became a meaningful gathering where solo parents connected with one another, shared experiences, and felt the warmth of a compassionate community. Smiles, gratitude, and renewed hope were seen throughout the celebration.

This successful program would not have been possible without the dedication of our Municipal Mayor Erlinda Q. Piedad, Municipal Health Officer and staff, Municipal Administrator,local government officials, partner agencies, and MSWD Officer, Solo Parent Focal and staff members who worked hand in hand to make the event impactful and memorable.

Solo Parent Week reminds us that behind every solo parent is a story of sacrifice, courage, and endless love. As a community, may we continue to embrace them with understanding, support, and genuine care.
To all solo parents: Hindi kayo nag-iisa. You are valued, appreciated, and supported. Your strength inspires us all, and your sacrifices deserve recognition every day.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SOLO PARENT WEEK CELEBRATION

In line with the celebration of Solo Parent Week with the theme: "Hindi ka Nag-iisa sa Iyong Pag-iisa: Yakap at Kalinga para sa Solo Parent".

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office(MSWDO), in partnership of Municapal Health Office (MHO) will conduct Philhealth Registration & Upadates followed by the distribution of Financial Assistance (payout).

We invite all new and renewed solo parent to attend this upcoming activity.

Date: APRIL 30, 2026
Time: 9: 00 AM
Venue: Municipal Covered Court

Requirements to bring:
►SOLO PARENT ID (Original and Photocopy)
►ANY VALID ID
►PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE/ LIVE BIRTH of the children
►PHILHEALTH NUMBER OR MDR (If already registered)

✨ 𝘼𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣: The much-anticipated “Balik-Tanaw Pageant” that showcased the beauty, talent, and pride of Filipino women!

March 10, 2026 marks another meaningful milestone as the NCSC pays tribute to our community’s treasured senior citizens! 🌟

We’re honoring 41 grant recipients from the fourth quarter (October - December 2025), including incredible octogenarians and nonagenarians who’ve left an indelible mark on our municipality.

Special Note: Even if a senior citizen has passed away, their son or daughter who are listed in the application form and can present the required documents may still claim the cash subsidy – our lasting recognition of the elder’s lifelong contributions to building our community.

Thank you to all our elders for your wisdom and dedication!
