The Malay Municipal Police Station under the leadership of PLTCOL ORLANDO A. CARAG, Chief of Police, extended assistance to the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Dr. Felix Delos Santos during the conduct of Project Turagan, an outreach initiative aimed at supporting the educational needs of Ati learners in Brgy. Cogon, Malay, Aklan.
As part of the activity, school supplies were distributed to Ati pupils to help them prepare for the upcoming school year and encourage continued participation in education. The initiative was made possible through the support of Mayor Frolibar S. Bautista, Mrs. Marichu Bautista, Dr. Felix Delos Santos, and Barangay Council of Barangay Cogon headed by Hon. Elnor Casidsid, reflecting the commitment of the local government and partner stakeholders to the welfare and development of the indigenous community.
To further promote care and community engagement, MB Marine Ford also provided lugaw and pandesal to the pupils during the activity, bringing joy and nourishment to the young beneficiaries.
This collaborative effort highlights the strong partnership among local government agencies, the Philippine National Police, and community stakeholders in advancing inclusive development and improving the well-being of indigenous peoples through education and social support programs.
