In celebration of the 85th Anniversary of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the COMELEC Bukidnon, in partnership with the 8th Infantry Battalion, conducted an Adopt-a-School Program on August 18, 2025, at Cabanglasan Central Elementary School. On the same day, the office also held a School Supplies Distribution and Feeding Program for Indigenous People (IP) students at Sitio Mindagulos, Barangay Indalasa, Malaybalay City.
The activities benefited a total of 237 childrenโ200 kindergarten and grade 1 pupils from Cabanglasan and 37 IP learners from Sitio Mindagulos. Each child received a set of school supplies and a pair of slippers, and they also enjoyed meals prepared for them as part of the feeding program.
Through these simple yet meaningful efforts, COMELEC Bukidnon reaffirmed its commitment not only to clean and fair elections but also to community service and the welfare of children. By extending this support, the office hopes to encourage young learners to remain motivated in their studies while bringing smiles and hope to both the children and their families.
These small but heartfelt gifts were meant to spark hope, nurture their dreams, and inspire them to continue their education. COMELEC Bukidnon believes that with the right support, these children can look forward to brighter futures and choose paths far from the struggles of the past.
More than just gifts, it was about showing genuine support and encouragementโreminding every child that their education matters. COMELEC Bukidnon hopes that this simple act sparks confidence, joy, and readiness as they continue their journey in school.
