The personnel of the City of Santiago Fire Station, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐀𝐘-𝐑 𝐏. 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎, City Fire Marshal, continue to strengthen their skills and readiness through training and familiarization in the proper use of rescue ropes and rope rescue techniques.

Rescue rope is an essential tool in emergency operations, particularly during incidents involving high-angle rescues, confined spaces, elevated areas, and other situations where conventional rescue methods may not be possible. The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 2 responded to a rescue incident in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, involving three individuals who fell into a deep well.

Through the prompt response and coordinated efforts of the 𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐑𝐅), led by 𝐅𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐏 𝐆𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐑𝐅) 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐, under the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐀𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐁 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚, 𝐎𝐈𝐂, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐑𝐅), together with the 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐄𝐌𝐒) personnel, 𝐓𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and the 𝐏𝐍𝐏 𝐓𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, the three individuals were successfully rescued from the deep well. The victims were provided with the necessary medical assistance and were turned over to the proper medical personnel for further care.

Being prepared to help during an emergency starts with continuous practice. The personnel of the City of Santiago Fire Station, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐀𝐘-𝐑 𝐏. 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎, City Fire Marshal, took part in bandaging practice as part of their Medical First Responder training.

Through regular hands-on practice, personnel strengthen their readiness to provide assistance and respond effectively when situations call for immediate care.
