The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camiguin, led by Vice Governor Rodin M. Romualdo, joined the 47th Camiguin Lanzones Festival Committee Meeting on August 20, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol, together with Governor XJ Romualdo, Congressman JJ Romualdo, other provincial and municipal officials, and pertinent personnel. The meeting focused on the progress, plans, and preparations of the various working committees for the upcoming celebration.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan remains committed to supporting the concerned committees in ensuring the proper coordination and implementation of the festival activities.

The Provincial Government of Camiguin, through the Padayong Pagserbisyo Alang sa Katawhan (PPASK) outreach program, brought essential government services closer to the residents of Manuyog and Balite, Sagay through an outreach activity held at the Manuyog Covered Court on August 18, 2026.

The activity was led by Governor Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, joined by Vice Governor Rodin M. Romualdo and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, together with officials of the Municipality of Sagay, representatives from various provincial government offices and partner agencies, and local officials, in a coordinated effort to facilitate the delivery of essential government services and public assistance directly to the community.

The 21st Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camiguin convened for its Regular Session on August 18, 2026, presided over by Honorable Vice Governor Rodin M. Romualdo, with the body undertaking the consideration of legislative and administrative matters presented for deliberation.

The session included the presentation of committee reports, consideration of proposed measures and resolutions, and the review of matters concerning local development, budgetary requirements, infrastructure, agriculture, investment, and other concerns within the jurisdiction of the Provincial Government. The Sangguniang Panlalawigan likewise proceeded with the appropriate readings and actions on measures endorsed for consideration.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camiguin, headed by Hon. Vice Governor Rodin M. Romualdo, held a blessing ceremony on August 13, 2026, for four transportation units consisting of three motorcycles and one service van. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Fr. Arthur ‘Tong’ P. Guevarra, SCJ.

The acquisition of these transportation units strengthens the logistical and operational capacity of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, particularly in supporting official functions and the delivery of public services.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan continues to support initiatives that enhance institutional efficiency, operational capability, and responsive public service for the people of Camiguin.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan Joint Committee on Infrastructure and Engineering, and Laws & Rules, presided over by Hon. Ma. Victoria J. Jansol, with Hon. Shella G. Babanto, Hon. Christina T. Loquias, Hon. Webb I. Bajenio, Hon. Stanley K. Planco, and Hon. Reychille A. Abian, together with concerned officials and personnel, convened a committee hearing on August 13, 2026, to deliberate on a proposed ordinance of the Local Government Unit of Mambajao concerning the adoption and implementation of its Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan for CY 2025–2028, including provisions on funding, monitoring, and sustainability.

The 21st Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Camiguin convened for its Regular Session on August 13, 2026, presided over by Honorable Vice Governor Rodin M. Romualdo, during which the body considered and acted upon various legislative measures, communications, municipal enactments, and committee reports referred for appropriate action.

The Session took up matters for First Reading, including proposed resolutions concerning medical assistance and healthcare services, authority to enter into agreements, provincial development and investment programs, public safety and emergency response, and other matters pertaining to the delivery of government services.

The body likewise considered resolutions and ordinances enacted by the Sangguniang Bayan of Sagay and Catarman, particularly those concerning local development and investment programming, disaster risk reduction and management, child protection, public market services, public safety, and emergency preparedness.

Committee reports were also presented for consideration, covering legislative measures from the municipalities of Guinsiliban, Mambajao, and Sagay concerning supplemental appropriations, agricultural biosecurity and the prevention and control of African Swine Fever, local government plantilla positions, disaster risk reduction and management, and public health-related regulatory measures.

Through the exercise of its legislative and oversight functions, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan continues to uphold responsive legislation, sound local governance, and measures responsive to the needs and welfare of the people of Camiguin.

Honorable Louis S. Bollozos welcomed Civil Service Commission (CSC) Commissioner Atty. Ryan Alvin R. Acosta, together with officials and personnel from the CSC Regional Office X and CSC Field Office–Camiguin, during their courtesy call on August 7, 2026, at the SP Session Hall, New Capitol Building, Lakas, Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin.

The visit formed part of the CSC delegation’s engagement in the province in connection with the August 9, 2026 Civil Service Examination–Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT). It also provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination and institutional partnership between the Civil Service Commission and the Provincial Government of Camiguin in advancing responsive, efficient, and people-centered public service.

The committee underscored the importance of ensuring that the proposed measure is consistent with existing laws, promotes effective public health service delivery, and provides a clear and sustainable framework for the implementation and administration of the regulatory fee.
