BINHI-Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished)

A Cash-for-Training and Orientation for Project LAWA at BINHI was successfully conducted in Sitio Limentuog, Manay, Davao Oriental yesterday. This project, implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aims to provide opportunities for community development while strengthening disaster resilience and environmental sustainability.

The realization of this project was made possible through the efforts and strong partnership of Mayor Jon Marco Dayanghirang and the DSWD, ensuring that deserving beneficiaries from the community are given access to this valuable program.

The training activity was successfully conducted through the Joint Management and Delivery of Services, bringing together the collective workforce of the following offices:

✅ Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO)

✅ Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)

✅ Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO)

✅ Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU)

✅ Rural Police Station Board (RPSB) PNP Personnel, and

✅ Project LAWA at BINHI DSWD Focal Person and Staff.

Earlier this morning, the 2nd batch of financial assistance was successfully facilitated and distributed by MSWDO and MTO staff to 148 beneficiaries whose houses were totally damaged by the recent doublet earthquake. This initiative reflects the continued commitment to support affected families in their recovery and rebuilding efforts. The activity was made possible through the strong support of our hardworking Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jon Marco Dayanghirang, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Hon. Alfonso Benjie Lahora Jr., whose dedication to public service continues to benefit the community.

Lantawa! Ang atong mga Senior Citizen atol sa gipahigayon nga Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS). Kini usa ka opisyal nga sistema nga gisagop sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) alang sa pagtipon ug pagdumala sa datos sa mga panimalay ug komunidad.
Ang CBMS usa ka estandardisado nga targeting system nga gidumala sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ug maoy mipuli sa kaniadtong Listahanan nga database sa kakabos. Pinaagi niini, mas masiguro ang tukmang pag-ila sa mga benepisyaryo ug mas epektibong paghatag sa mga programa ug serbisyo sa gobyerno.

Gipaambit usab sa maong ahensya ang BBMS (Basta Beripikado, May Serbisyo) dinhi sa atong Munisipyo. Usa kini ka digital system o aplikasyon nga gigamit sa DSWD aron beripikahon ang impormasyon sa mga kliyente ug benepisyaryo.

Pinaagi sa BBMS:
* Mas dali mahibal-an kung ang usa ka tawo nakadawat na ba ug ayuda o serbisyo.
* Malikayan ang doble-dobleng paghatag sa benepisyo.
* Masiguro nga ang kwalipikadong mga indibidwal ug pamilya maoy makadawat sa serbisyo.
* Mapalambo ang transparency ug efficiency sa paghatag sa mga programa ug ayuda.
