The Local Government Unit of Mandaon proudly celebrates its achievement of attaining the IDEAL Rating in the CY 2026 Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Functionality Assessment, in recognition of its exemplary performance during Performance Year 2025.

This distinction reflects the municipality's steadfast commitment to promoting, protecting, and upholding the rights and welfare of every Mandaonian child through effective governance, responsive programs, and collaborative community action.

This achievement is a testament to the dedicated leadership of Hon. Kristine Salve Hao-Kho and Hon. Emily E. Hao, together with the invaluable efforts of our MSWD Officer Aileen P. Delos Reyes, our LCPC members, partner agencies, stakeholders, and all those who continuously work to create a safe, nurturing, and child-friendly environment for children.

Bumoto na ang Kongreso,
Nagkagulo na sa Senado,
Pero ang mga ordinaryong Pilipino,
Halos kakasimula pa lamang ng linggo,
Patuloy na nagtatrabaho,
Nang sa gayo’y sa bibig ay may maisubo.

Habang sila’y abala sa kani-kanilang argumento,
May amang tahimik na kumakayod sa konstruksiyon buong araw na nakayuko,
May inang pagod nang ngumiti pero kailangan pa ring magtinda ng yelo,
May estudyanteng pumapasok kahit pamasahe’y kulang at baon ay puro pangako,
May mga pangarap na unti-unting kinakain ng presyo ng bigas at krudo,
At may mga pusong matagal nang nasanay mabuhay nang salat pero hindi sumusuko.

Sa bawat talumpati nilang ubod ng ingay at gulo,
May mamamayang pipiliing manahimik dahil gutom ang mas malakas kaysa prinsipyo.
Habang sila’y nagbabangayan kung sino ang tama at panalo,
