Bilang pakikiisa sa Buwan ng Kasaysayan at Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa ngayong Agosto, halina't muling balikan ang sinaunang paraan ng pagsulat, ang Baybayin. Sariwain natin kung "𝘽𝙔𝙀-BAYIN" na nga ba o "BAYBAY-𝙄𝙉" pa rin ba natin ang pamana na ito sa kasalukuyan.

Inaanyayahan ang lahat na makiisa sa gaganaping dalawang sesyon dito sa Bahay Nakpil-Bautista, ngayong Agosto 29: Ang dalawang sesyon ay ang mga sumusunod:

BAHAY NAKPIL-BAUTISTA: PAMANA SERIES 2026 : June 24, Wednesday, ARAW NG MAYNILA

25 artists present "SULYAP SA QUIAPO – QUIAPO CAPTURED IN PAINTINGS" - a two week special exhibit at the gallery of the Padilla Ancestral House at R. Hidalgo Street in the historic district of Quiapo.

Featured are two artists -- Manny Padilla, Gallery owner; and BD Villareal, a Quiapense (a native of Quiapo, taga-Quiapo, batang / laking Quiapo.

The 25 artists’ images of Quiapo are depicted in different forms of art.

Their art works are exhibited in one place that is large, spacious and quiet, an anti-thesis of the competing loudness of jeepneys, tricyles and buses, chaotic powerlines, and the colorful, fun that is Quiapo, with spirituality weaving through its daily life.

The Quiapo ng Puso Ko Inc. and its members mention with deep appreciation: Associate Professor Mary Ann Bulanadi, PHD, UST, Curator / BD Villareal / Ding Royales / Sandra Herber.

Remembering JOSE P. RIZAL

Sandy Inigo Chua, Dean, UST Conservatory of Music, posted on June 19, 2020 --
"Sharing Julio Nakpil's "Amor Patrio" dedicated to the wise and illustrious Dr. Jose Rizal. Composed on August 4, 1893 while Rizal was detained in Dapitan, Nakpil set Rizal's Canto de Maria Clara from Noli Me Tangere to this beautiful music.

The original composition of Nakpil was arranged for voice, oboe and piano. A choral arrangement of this piece was made by Lucio San Pedro in 1967. We present to you the composition in its original form. "
