I want him in the most unfair way—
the kind of wanting that settles in my chest and refuses to leave.
I want him in the small moments, in the silence, in the future I keep accidentally imagining.

But I can’t have him.
And that’s the cruel part—
not because I don’t feel enough,
but because I feel too much for something that will never be mine.

I have to carry this longing with no place to put it.
I have to love him privately, quietly, responsibly—
while pretending I’m okay with the version of life where he doesn’t choose me,
or can’t choose me.

It hurts because nothing is wrong with what I feel.
It just exists in the wrong reality.

ouch? did i just got overly dramatic just by reading those lines????

Book Review: The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

I’m usually a romance reader through and through. I live for the drama, the butterflies, and the comfort of knowing everything will somehow work out in the end. I want peace, I want happy endings, I want emotional safety. So picking up a psychological thriller like The Housemaid? Extremely out of character for me 😭 And wow… I was NOT ready.

This book completely messed with my mind—in the best and worst ways possible. Every chapter felt like a plot twist waiting to happen. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the story would flip, and I’d be left staring at the page like, “Wait… WHAT?!” 😳 The suspense was insane. My heart was racing, my trust issues were activated, and I genuinely didn’t know who to believe anymore.

What makes this book so addictive is how fast-paced it is. No dragging, no boring fillers—just straight chaos and tension. I kept telling myself I’d stop after one more chapter, but suddenly it was hours later and I was almost done 😵‍💫 This is the kind of book that takes over your life until you finish it.

The characters felt so real, so messy, and so unpredictable. You don’t just read what they’re going through—you feel it. The fear, the confusion, the manipulation… everything hits hard. It really shows how dangerous secrets can be and how not everything is what it seems.

If you’re looking for a book that will emotionally wreck you, keep you on edge, and make you question everything, The Housemaid is it. It’s dark, twisty, and completely unhinged—in the best way possible 😌 Definitely not a peaceful read, but 100% worth it 💯📚

Book Review: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

At first, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo genuinely intrigued me. I had heard countless reviews about how emotionally intense and roller-coaster–like the experience was for many readers, so I went into it curious but cautious. Surprisingly, as I started reading, I found myself unable to put the book down—and for two main reasons: I desperately wanted to understand why Evelyn Hugo had seven husbands, and I was completely hooked by the unexpected plot twists that seemed to appear in almost every chapter.

The beginning felt a bit “ehhh” to me at first, as if I were about to read just another celebrity story. However, after the first chapter, everything changed. The narrative pulled me in so deeply that it instantly took me out of my book slump. From that point on, I was fully invested—not just in Evelyn’s glamorous life, but in the woman behind the fame.

One thing I truly loved about this book was the way Taylor Jenkins Reid slowly eases the reader into the story. The interview-style storytelling made it feel incredibly personal, almost as if I were the one sitting across from Evelyn Hugo, listening to her confessions and unraveling the truth behind her carefully curated image. This format made the story feel intimate, raw, and honest, allowing me to connect with Evelyn on a deeper level.

What stood out most was how the smallest details—ones that seemed insignificant at first—ended up having such a powerful impact as the story progressed. Every choice, every relationship, and every secret carried weight, especially as the novel moved closer to its emotional conclusion. The author masterfully weaves themes of love, ambition, sacrifice, identity, and regret, reminding readers that life is rarely black and white.

By the end, this book left me emotionally overwhelmed in the best way possible. It wasn’t just a story about seven husbands—it was about the cost of fame, the complexity of love, and the courage it takes to live your truth, even when the world refuses to accept it. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a beautifully written, emotionally rich novel that stays with you long after you turn the final page.

⭐ Rating: 5/5
This book exceeded my expectations and completely pulled me out of my reading slump. The storytelling, emotional depth, and unforgettable characters made it impossible to put down.
