I've missed sharing these little moments by the lake.
Life has been keeping me busy, but my heart always finds its way back to Lake Lanao. The gentle waves, the changing skies, and the quiet peace it brings never fail to recharge me. Every visit reminds me of Allah's beautiful creations and the countless blessings we often overlook.
I'll be posting more photos and videos of my little lake adventures—if they can even be called adventures. 😅 Maybe they're just peaceful escapes, but I hope you'll enjoy coming along with me.

As of April 2026, Lake Lanao is facing a critical decline in water levels and quality due to the convergence of severe El Niño drought conditions and intensified human activity following Marawi’s resettlement. This recession is dangerously accelerated by the Agus Hydroelectric Power Complex, which draws heavily from the lake to provide 70% of Mindanao’s electricity; during this dry spell, power demands are outstripping the watershed's natural recharge rate. Consequently, the lake's receding shoreline now threatens both regional energy security and the ecological health of one of the world’s few ancient lakes.

Lake Lanao is more than water, it is a blessing from Allah. Seeing families enjoy its gift reminds us that we are only caretakers of what the Creator has entrusted to us. May we protect it with gratitude and responsibility.
