The Margosatubig Municipal Fire Station, led by SFO3 Ham S Botanas, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, facilitated the Fire Suppression Challenge during the 2nd Municipal-Wide Disaster Rescue Olympics 2026 held at Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

Fifteen barangays from the municipality participated in the activity, providing community members with an opportunity to develop and demonstrate essential skills in emergency response and fire suppression.

The challenge featured three categories: Types of Carry, Fire Extinguisher, and Bucket Relay, each with various obstacles designed to simulate the challenges encountered during actual rescue and fire emergencies.

Through the activity, participants enhanced their fire suppression, rescue, teamwork, and emergency response skills while gaining a deeper appreciation of the physical demands and difficulties faced by firefighters and rescuers during actual operations.

The Margosatubig Municipal Fire Station, headed by SFO3 Ham S Botanas, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Municipal-Wide Disaster Rescue Olympics 2026 held at Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. BFP personnel also served as umpires during the said Olympics, ensuring the fair and proper conduct of the rescue competitions.
