Jahn Alejaga, a proud son of an Ilonggo Army Officer and a Waray Public Health Servant, married to Joy Sayno-Alejaga, a Registered Nurse who is also in Public Health and shares his passion for public service, being one of the
active civic leaders in their community, currently serving as the Executive Director & Vice President of La Liga Mariquina. Being part of those behind the scenes of various initiatives in Marikina City, and in many parts of our nation. A Clinical Instructor in the College of Nursing of Manila Central University, equipped with years of experience from being a Local and National Youth Leader, Student Leader and in public service, dedicated his life in service to community through various Non-Government Organizations (NGO) where he can share his passion and dedication for service. Been part of the Healthcare Industry as Medical Director & Administrator, Academe as Instructor and of the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) Industry as part of Risk Operations, Loss Prevention and Litigation Support. From July 01, 2016 to Present, He is the President & Chairman of the Board of Trustees of La Liga Mariquina (LM), one of the active and recognized civic organization in Marikina City with almost 9,875 registered volunteers nationwide, which implemented countless programs and initiatives in Marikina City and in many parts of the nation. An organization recognized by the Regional Development Council for National Capital Region and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) as Outstanding Volunteer Organization (Non-Profit Organization) during its Search for Outstanding Volunteers (SOV) for Years 2023 & 2024 and by the Department of Health during its Healthy Pilipinas Award for Partners 2023 as Bronze Awardee. He is also serving as the 35th Skipper & Chairman of the Board of Directors (Youngest to Assume, and Longest to consistently elected to hold the Position going 10 years now) of the Civic Action Team of Marikina, an organization considered to be one of the oldest civic organizations originally established in Marikina in 1971. Known for its programs in support of the City’s Peace and Order and to the Marikina City Police Force since the 1960s. Under his leadership both organizations were recognized by various award giving bodies and institutions nationwide for its consistent performance in serving the Filipino People. He served as Private Consultant for Flood Mitigation Policy to the Late Marikina City Vice Mayor Jose Fabian Imperial Cadiz, M.D. Inducted Member of the Order of the Knights of Rizal (OKOR) with Rank of Knight Officer Rizal (KOR) and served as Chapter Pursuivant of OKOR Marikina North Chapter and received the Medal of Recognition awarded by then OKOR Supreme Commander & Former Chief Justice Sir Reynato Puno, KGCR. Jahn also served as Member of the Marikina City Development Council (Marikina CDC) and Marikina City Peace and Order Council (Marikina CPOC) in 2017 to Present. An Honorary Member and served as one of the Board of Directors of the Marikina Police Retirees Association Inc (MPRAI) from 2017-2025. Ran for public office on May 09, 2016, General Elections as Independent (IND) Candidate as City Councilor for the 1st District of Marikina City but failed to secure a seat with 2234 votes. Ran again for the 2nd time as an Independent (IND) Candidate last May 12, 2025, Midterm Elections for the same office but still failed to secure a seat with 3585 votes. Recently selected as Member of the Regional Development Council - National Capital Region (RDC-NCR) particularly on the Sectoral Committee of Finance Development and Administration (SCFDA) for Fiscal Years 2025-2028. Supported countless initiatives for the development of an effective public health service in communities and rural areas, and fair and competitive compensation for public health personnel. A staunch ally of the environment, known for pushing countless initiatives and programs for the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape and in formulating sustainable solutions in addressing flood in Metro Manila. Convenor of Bantay Pamamahala PH, an initiative promoting and spreading awareness about good governance, and of the Marikina Police Memorial, an initiative that promotes awareness about the gallant service of the men and women of Marikina Police Force. Received countless recognitions and nominations for his outstanding performance as a leader and good governance advocate from various award giving bodies and institutions nationwide.
