π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Marinduque with Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Sta. Cruz and Coast Guard Mobile Post (CGMP) Torrijos, in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 510th Squadron and the Coast Guard Civil Relations Group–Southern Tagalog (CRG-STL), supported the successful conduct of a two-day Optical Mission and Feeding Program initiated by the Fraternal Order of Eagles Marinduque Matikas Region on 19–20 September 2026 in selected barangays of Sta. Cruz and Torrijos, Marinduque.

The outreach activity was conducted in Barangays Ipil, Kamandugan, San Isidro, Butilao, Punong, and Lusok in Sta. Cruz, and Barangays Buangan, Bayakbakin, Payanas, Marianga, Cabuyao, and Poctoy in Torrijos.

The activity aimed to bring essential eye care services closer to communities, particularly residents with limited access to optical and healthcare services. Through the concerted efforts of the participating organizations, a total of 700 beneficiaries received free eye consultations and optical services during the two-day mission.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station Marinduque, together with Coast Guard Sub-Station Mogpog (CGSS Mogpog), PENRO Marinduque, the Municipal Government of Mogpog, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other partner stakeholders, participated in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) conducted today, 19 September 2026, at Barangay Balanacan, Mogpog, Marinduque.

The activity was conducted in support of this year’s theme, β€œClean Seas for Resilient Communities,” highlighting the importance of collective action in protecting marine ecosystems, reducing coastal pollution, and promoting resilient coastal communities.

The Philippine Coast Guard, in collaboration with government agencies, local government units, and other stakeholders, remains committed to promoting environmental stewardship and safeguarding coastal and marine resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Marinduque, in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 510th Squadron, Coast Guard Civil Relations Group – Southern Tagalog (CRG-STL), actively supported the successful conduct of a two-day Optical Mission initiated by The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Marinduque Matikas Region on September 05 and 06, 2026 in selected barangays of Gasan and Buenavista, Marinduque.

The outreach activity was conducted at Brgy. Tabionan and Brgy. Tapuyan in Gasan, and Brgy. Libas and Brgy. Sihi in Buenavista, bringing free eye consultations and optical services closer to residents, particularly those with limited access to eye care services.

Through the coordinated efforts of Coast Guard personnel and PCGA 510th Squadron, a total of 247 beneficiaries availed themselves of the services provided during the two-day mission. The activity forms part of the Coast Guard's continuing commitment to extend humanitarian assistance and community-based services beyond its core maritime mandates.

The successful conduct of the mission highlights the Coast Guard's active role in fostering inter-agency and community partnerships in support of the welfare and well-being of the people of Marinduque. By working alongside government agencies, uniformed services, and civic organizations, the Coast Guard continues to help bring essential services directly to communities, especially those in geographically underserved areas.

π“πˆππ†ππ€π: Nakiisa ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Station (CGS) Marinduque sa isinagawang Fun-Run for a Cause bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng ika-126 na Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) noong ika-4 ng Setyembre 2026 sa Barangay Bantad, Boac, Marinduque.

Nakiisa sa nasabing aktibidad ang mga kawani mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan bilang pakikiisa sa taunang paggunita ng PCSA. Layunin ng gawain na itaguyod ang kalusugan at kapakanan ng mga lingkod-bayan, gayundin ang pagpapalakas ng samahan, pagkakaisa, at diwa ng boluntaryong paglilingkod sa pamahalaan.

Ang pakikiisa ng CGS Marinduque ay nagpapakita ng suporta ng Philippine Coast Guard sa mga inisyatibo ng pamahalaan na nagtataguyod ng inter-agency cooperation, pagkakaisa, at kapakanan ng mga kawani ng pamahalaan.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: In line with Presidential Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017, with the theme β€œKarapatan sa Karagatan, Sama-sama Nating Alagaan,” the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026 was observed nationwide on 01 September 2026.

As part of the celebration, vessels docked at Balanacan Port, Mogpog, Marinduque sounded their vessel horns for one minute at exactly 10:00 AM, symbolizing unity and solidarity among maritime stakeholders.

The activity highlighted the collective responsibility to protect the country’s maritime domain, safeguard marine resources, promote maritime awareness, and support the sustainable use of Philippine waters.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: In response to the continuing effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), Coast Guard Station Marinduque (CGS Marinduque), together with its Coast Guard Sub-Stations, activated its Deployable Response Group (DRG) Teams to ensure readiness for possible maritime incidents and emergencies.
The DRG Teams are on standby to immediately respond to search and rescue, disaster response, and humanitarian assistance operations within their respective areas of responsibility.

CGS Marinduque also coordinated with the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (LDRRMOs) and other concerned agencies to strengthen preparedness, information sharing, and coordination in case of emergencies brought about by adverse weather conditions.

As part of its preventive measures, Coast Guard personnel conducted information dissemination among fisherfolks and beachgoers, distributing flyers and providing safety reminders regarding the possible hazards of rough seas, strong winds, and sudden changes in weather.

The Coast Guard urges all fisherfolks, boat operators, and beachgoers to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and avoid going to sea or swimming when conditions become unsafe.

Safety at sea is everyone’s responsibility. Stay informed, stay alert, and prioritize safety at all times.
