𝟓𝟎 𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐈𝐌 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝

Inanunsyo ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na mayroong 50 araw bago matapos ang SIM Registration sa ika-26 ng Abril 2023. Ang itinakdangpanahon para sa SIM Registration ay sumusunod saimplementing rules and regulations (IRR) ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) kung saan nakasaadang deadline na Abril 26.

Muling inihayag ni DICT Undersecretary at Spokesperson Anna May Yu Lamentillo ang kahalagahan ng SIM Registration upangmahimok ang publiko na sumunod sa batas. Binigyang-diin din ni Lamentillo ang positibong epekto ng SIM registration para sacybersecurity ng bansa.

“SIM Registration is an important component of the nation’s cybersecurity agenda; text scams and fraud have been cut down significantly since its implementation. Completing the registration will protect not only you, but other subscribers as well. This is why we urge the public to register their SIM for their convenience and protection,” sabi ni Lamentillo.

Sa pagkumpleto ng SIM Registration, mabibigyan ng proteksyon ang lahat, kung-kaya’t hinihikayat namin ang lahat na mag-register ng SIM para sa inyong ginhawa at seguridad.”)

Ngayong ika-6 ng Marso 2023, umabot na sa 41,002,234 ang nakapag-rehistro ng kanilang SIM. Ayon sa datos mula sa mgapublic communication entities (PTEs), ito ay 24.26% ng kabuuang bilang ng mga SIM sa buong bansa na 168,977,773.

Nagbahagi rin ang mga PTE ng kani-kanilang naitalang bilangpara sa SIM Registration. Naitala ng Smart Communications Inc. ang 20,882,843 bilang o 30.71% ng kanilang 67,995,734 subscribers. Iniulat din ng Globe Telecom Inc. na 17,005,201 naang rehistrado sa kanila, 19.35% ng kanilang 87,873,936 subscribers. Para naman sa DITO Telecommunity Corp., 3,114,190 na ang rehistrado o 23.76% ng kanilang 13,108,103 subscribers.

Ang DICT ay patuloy na nagpapaalala sa publiko na magingmaingat at mapanuri habang nagrerehistro ng kanilang SIM. Gamitin lamang ang mga opisyal na website link ng mga PTE:
