Rain or Shine, dayon an sadya!
The celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan came to a joyful close last August 31, 2025, at the Barangay Plaza of Tawad. Spearheaded by the SK Tawad officials, the event was not only packed with fun and entertainment but also became a meaningful platform for learning and youth empowerment.
To enrich the occasion, three distinguished guest speakers were invited to share valuable insights. Retired Midwife Ave Flores emphasized the importance of health and sanitation among young children, Elementary Teacher Maribeth Arado discussed the significance of earthquake drills and disaster preparedness, while Admin Assistant III Mr. Joey Alvarez delivered a compelling talk on the dangers of drug use among the youth.
To add more energy and excitement, the SK Tawad officials showcased their dancing skills alongside the ever-cheerful Jollibee. Their goal was to bring the “Bida ang Saya” experience closer to the children of the barangay, especially those who rarely get the chance to visit the city and enjoy Jollibee in person.
The highlight of the day was the priceless smiles of the children as they met Jollibee up close, an experience many of them will cherish forever. The celebration became even more memorable with a hearty serving of the all-time favorite Jollibee Chickenjoy, shared as lunch for all young participants.
The event truly embodied the essence of Linggo ng Kabataan, a harmonious blend of fun, learning, and community spirit. It proved once again that rain or shine, the youth of Tawad will always have a reason to celebrate, grow, and shine together.
