Seven (7) solar lights were successfully installed in key areas of the barangay, each marked with yellow paint at the base to improve visibility and serve as a reminder for safety and caution along the pathways. This initiative aims to provide brighter and safer routes for both students and residents, especially during the evening when visibility becomes a concern.

With the increasing concerns about youth disturbances and safety in communities today, improving lighting in public spaces has become an important step in strengthening peace and order. The installation of these solar lights, together with the existing CCTV systems, helps create a more secure environment by deterring potential incidents and ensuring that pathways used daily by students and citizens remain well-lit and safer at night.

𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐕 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 📹

On October 31, 2025, the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Poblacion District III successfully installed newly purchased CCTV cameras around the Barangay Hall to strengthen security, monitoring, and overall safety within the premises.

Currently, one CCTV camera is installed at Gate 2 of San Jacinto National High School, at the corner of Balintong Street and Bartolabac Street, while another is located at the corner of Balintong and Altarejos Streets. Due to technical limitations, each CCTV unit is restricted to a maximum distance of 20 meters from the power supply, which temporarily limits coverage. As a result, some areas are not fully monitored at this time. The remaining CCTV units will be relocated to streets and other strategic areas during the next scheduled labor, as the lack of cable length required them to be temporarily placed at the Barangay Hall.

On October 31, 2025, Plaza Anonuevo was transformed into a stage of excitement, creativity, and Halloween magic as the 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝑰𝑰 hosted the much-anticipated Halloween Spectacular 2025. Despite the recent challenges brought by Typhoon Opong, the SK councils were determined to lift spirits, bring smiles to the community, and create a night full of joy and celebration for everyone.

The event featured the dazzling Ms. Gay Halloween 2025: The Dark Reign , showcasing glamor, confidence, and talent; the impressive performances of Ticao Got Talent, highlighting the diverse skills and creativity of our youth; and the spookiest and most creative costumes in the Halloween Costume Contest, which had everyone laughing, cheering, and enjoying the Halloween spirit to the fullest.

This unforgettable night proved that even in the aftermath of challenges, our community can come together to celebrate talent, creativity, and fun. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined, participated, and supported — your smiles made it all worthwhile! 💀🎉

Together with the Sangguniang Kabataan officials of 𝗣𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗜𝗜 and 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻, the Youth Bazaar was successfully held as part of the 4-day celebration of 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻: 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 from August 12–15, with the theme ‘𝘓𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘋𝘎𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥.’

The event served as a vibrant space to showcase the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. Throughout the bazaar, various groups presented their booths with unique concepts and meaningful advocacies. Our booth was made more engaging through interactive activities such as a customized piko on the floor for children’s entertainment, where free candies were given as prizes for each try. We also introduced the ‘Ano ang Kwento Mo?’ board, a safe corner where youth participants freely expressed their thoughts, stories, or even rants.

On the Youth Got Talent day, August 15, 2025, Camp Sawi was awarded Best Booth in recognition of its outstanding concept, creativity, and impact. Notably, this follows last year’s recognition where Poblacion District III proudly bagged the Best Sales and Best Design Award during the 2024 Youth Bazaar, showing consistent excellence and dedication in every participation.

This activity not only celebrated the talents of our young people but also highlighted the importance of providing spaces for expression, fun, and community connection. Truly, the Youth Bazaar stands as a testament to how collective efforts and creativity can inspire positive change and advance youth-led actions for the Sustainable Development Goals and beyond.

Last August 11, 2025, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion District III held the distribution of cash gifts for the fresh graduates of Academic Years 2024–2025 and 2023-2024 at the Barangay Hall of Poblacion District III, San Jacinto, Masbate. This initiative was carried out as part of our continuing support for the youth sector, recognizing their dedication, perseverance, and achievements in completing their academic journey.

Some graduates personally received their cash gifts, while others were represented by their parents or guardians, ensuring that every eligible recipient was duly acknowledged.

As youth leaders, we firmly believe that education is a powerful tool in shaping the future of our community. Through this simple gesture, the SK Council reaffirms its commitment to advancing educational support, empowering the youth, and investing in their success for the betterment of Poblacion District III.

𝑮𝑨𝑾𝑨𝑫-𝑬𝑫𝑼𝑲𝑨𝑺𝒀𝑶𝑵 | 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒂 𝑨𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒕𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒔 🎓

As part of our continuous support for education, SK Poblacion District III is awarding a ₱500 cash gift to selected graduates as a small token of recognition for their hard work and achievement.

Out of all the interested applicants, only 14 recipients were officially considered, based on the submitted registration and certain considerations discussed during the SK Council Assembly. While we wish we could accommodate more, the selection was guided by fairness, availability, and proper council deliberation.

This simple gesture is our way of celebrating not just your academic success, but also the perseverance and dedication you’ve shown in reaching this milestone. May it serve as motivation as you step into your next journey.
