TESDA World Café of Opportunities 2026

The City Government of Masbate, led by City Mayor Hon. Atty. Olga “Ara” T. Kho, joins the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Masbate in the World Café of Opportunities 2026, in celebration of the 32nd TESDA Anniversary, with the theme:

“Empowering the People through the Provision of Deliverables and Accessible Employment Opportunities.”

Gracing the occasion, Hon. Atty. Olga “Ara” T. Kho participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and delivered an inspiring message underscoring the City Government’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and creating accessible opportunities for employment, skills development, entrepreneurship, and livelihood for the people of Masbate City.

Representing the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Mr. Ian Mark R. Oliva, PESO Manager Designate, also delivered a message highlighting the importance of providing accessible pathways to employment and skills development for TVET graduates and alumni.

Through strengthened collaboration among government agencies and partners, we continue to empower our people and create more opportunities toward a skilled, productive, and resilient workforce.

Our participants from various sectors are now actively engaged in their Hilot (Wellness Massage) Skills Training, under the guidance of Ms. Mary Jill C. Marquez, TESDA Trainer. 💆‍♀️

This batch brings together participants from different sectors, including:

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Masbate City, in partnership with TESDA, conducted a coordination meeting with Ms. Aila G. Almoradie, Supervising TESD Specialist, and Nikka Medina, Community Training and Employment Coordinator (focal person) of the City Government of Masbate, to discuss updates and finalize the upcoming TESDA skills trainings under the SIRAK Pangabuhayan Program of the City Government of Masbate.

This continuing collaboration aims to provide more accessible skills development and livelihood opportunities for Masbateños through quality technical and vocational education and training.

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the City Government of Masbate welcomed representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Masbate Provincial Office for a coordination meeting aimed at fostering stronger collaboration for the upcoming Masbate Cityhood Anniversary Celebration.

Present during the meeting were Mr. Ian Mark R. Oliva, PESO Manager Designate, Mr. Joebert L. Cornal, Trade-Industry Development Specialist of DTI, and Ms. Maricer C. Sison, OIC Provincial Director of DTI Masbate.

The discussion centered on strengthening inter-agency partnerships and exploring collaborative programs and activities that will contribute to a successful Cityhood Anniversary celebration. Through this partnership, the City Government of Masbate and DTI reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, local economic development, and quality public service for every Masbateño.

Together, we continue to build stronger partnerships for a more progressive and empowered Masbate.
