The Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), in collaboration with the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas - Matag-ob Chapter and DILG Matag-ob, concluded the three-day Barangay Development Plan (BDP) Updating Workshop Utilizing Data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) and Registry of Barangay Inhabitants and Migrants (RBIM).

The third day focused on the refinement and finalization of the workshop outputs, particularly the presentation of the Barangay Development Investment Programs (BDIPs) prepared by the participating barangays.
Each barangay presented its respective BDIP, laying out the priority Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) to be implemented over the next four years, together with their corresponding budgetary requirements and identified funding sources. The presentations reflected the results of the BDP planning process, from the identification of problems and concerns, formulation of appropriate solutions, and prioritization of PPAs that will directly respond to the needs of their communities.
Through the presentations and collaborative discussions, the participants further refined their proposed investments and ensured that the identified PPAs were realistic, responsive, and aligned with the development priorities of their respective barangays.
The closing part of the workshop was graced by Honorable Municipal Mayor Bernandino G. Tacoy, who emphasized the importance of preparing development plans that are grounded in the actual situations and challenges experienced at the grassroots level.
He likewise highlighted the value of utilizing reliable and relevant data, particularly from the CBMS and RBIM, in understanding the real picture on the ground and in making informed decisions that will guide local development interventions.
The three-day workshop served as a meaningful avenue for the barangays of Matag-ob to transform data and identified community concerns into concrete development priorities and investment programs. From understanding the problems, identifying solutions, prioritizing PPAs, and determining the resources needed for implementation, the barangays continue to strengthen their commitment toward responsive, data-driven, and sustainable local development.
