Last week, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Davao Oriental Field Office, led by Provincial Director Rodolfo T. Castro Jr. and Employment Focal Person Glenn Louie Banoy, together with PESO Davao Oriental OIC Jay O. Dayanghirang, and other DOLE and PESO personnel, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Davao Oriental, Nelson L. Dayanghirang.

The meeting focused on strengthening the partnership for the implementation of the JobStart Philippines Program in Davao Oriental and ensuring its smooth and effective rollout throughout the province. Governor Dayanghirang expressed his full support and commitment to the program, reaffirming the Provincial Governmentโ€™s dedication to expanding employment opportunities and enhancing the skills development of Davaoeรฑo youth and job seekers.

Through the continued partnership between the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, through PESO, and DOLE, we remain committed to empowering individuals, promoting employability, and creating meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for the people of Davao Oriental.

Last May 13โ€“14, 2026, the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Davao Oriental led by Officer-in-Charge Ms. Jay O. Dayanghirang, together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), conducted visits to various establishments across the province to introduce the JobStart Philippines Program and strengthen partnerships with potential employers.

The activity aimed to encourage local businesses to support the program by providing training and work opportunities for the youth beneficiaries of JobStart Philippines.

PESO Davao Oriental also expresses its sincere gratitude to Provincial Governor Nelson Dayanghirang for his continued leadership and unwavering support for employment and youth development initiatives in the province.

Through these engagements, PESO and DOLE continue to promote stronger collaboration between the government and private sector in helping young Davaoeรฑos become more job-ready and employable.
