As dengue cases continue to increase in the Municipality of Mercedes and across Camarines Norte, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program โ€“ Municipal Operations Office (MOO) Mercedes, in partnership with the ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž (๐Œ๐‡๐Ž) of Mercedes, conducted a ๐ƒ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ž ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง integrated into this monthโ€™s Family Development Session.

The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge of 4Ps beneficiaries on dengue prevention, early recognition of warning signs, and the importance of seeking timely medical attention. Participants were also reminded that preventing dengue begins at home through regular search and destroy activitiesโ€”eliminating stagnant water where mosquitoes may breed, keeping surroundings clean, and practicing other measures to reduce mosquito breeding sites.

The activity was made possible through the support and participation of invited nurses and midwives, namely ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐†๐ž๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š ๐˜๐š๐ง๐ญ๐จ, ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐‰๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐œ๐จ๐ง, ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐๐š๐›๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐ƒ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐จ๐ง, ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐Œ๐š. ๐’๐ก๐š๐ง๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ž ๐•๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฃ๐จ, ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐„๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š ๐‹๐จ๐ฉ๐ž๐ณ and ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐ž ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ž ๐๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž, who shared their knowledge and guidance with the participating families.

Through strengthened health awareness and simple preventive practices, 4Ps families are encouraged to become active partners in protecting their communities against dengue.

The Municipal Operations Office of Mercedes successfully conducted the Cash Card Release for the first batch of newly registered beneficiaries under Set 14 of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) on September 17, 2026.

A total of 127 cash cards were successfully released to the newly registered 4Ps beneficiaries, marking an important milestone as they begin their participation in the program.

Following the release, cash card activation was also facilitated to assist the beneficiaries in activating their cards and ensuring that these are ready for use. The activity also provided an opportunity to give important reminders on the proper use and safekeeping of their cash cards, as well as the responsible management of their 4Ps grants.

Bilang pakikiisa sa National Clean-Up Day 2026, sabay-sabay na nagsagawa ngayong araw ng Clean-Up Drive ang mga benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) sa ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐“๐š๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ at ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘, Mercedes, Camarines Norte, katuwang ang kani-kanilang Barangay Councils.

Hindi lamang layunin ng gawaing ito ang mapanatili ang kalinisan ng ating mga pamayanan, kundi maging bahagi rin ng sama-samang pagkilos para sa ๐ฉ๐š๐ -๐ข๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐š ๐๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ž, lalo na sa patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng mga naitatalang kaso sa lalawigan.

Habang nagsasagawa ng paglilinis, isinabuhay ng mga 4Ps beneficiaries ang DOH 4Ts Kontra Dengueโ€”Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, at Takipโ€”sa pamamagitan ng pagtukoy at pag-aalis ng mga bagay at lalagyang maaaring pamugaran ng lamok na nagdadala ng dengue.

Sa simpleng paglilinis, sama-samang pagkilos, at pagiging mapagmatyag sa ating kapaligiran, naipapakita ng mga 4Ps beneficiaries na ang malinis na komunidad ay isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas at mas malusog na pamayanan.

Dinaluhan ito ng mga mahahalagang kinatawan mula sa ibaโ€™t ibang ahensiya at sektor na patuloy na nagbibigay ng suporta at pakikiisa sa layunin ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Sa nasabing pagpupulong, tinalakay ang mahahalagang usapin at mga napapanahong hakbangin tungo sa patuloy na pagpapalakas, pagpapatibay, at pagpapaunlad ng implementasyon ng programa.

The Municipal Link Office of Mercedes successfully conducted the Youth Development Session (YDS) Volume III: Beyond the Glow! with the theme, โ€œDiscover the Spark Within, Share the Light Beyond!โ€ at Pablo S. Villafuerte High School, the chosen partner school for this year.

The activity brought together selected Grade 10 students and members of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) for an afternoon of learning, reflection, and meaningful interaction. It commenced at 1:00 PM, with Mr. Jovenal F. Abad, School Principal, delivering the opening remarks and emphasizing the purpose of the Youth Development Session and the significance of this yearโ€™s theme.

The activity was filled with interactive and engaging activities that encouraged the participants to reflect on themselves and learn practical ways of dealing with everyday challenges. Aside from the activity orientation, two major sessions were discussed. ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ: โ€œ๐๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ฒ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ,โ€ facilitated by ML Christal Margarette Mapa, focused on recognizing and managing stress while encouraging the participants to take a moment to pause, breathe, and practice healthy ways of coping. This was followed by ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ: โ€œ๐‚๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐…๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž,โ€ facilitated by ML Aisyl Gรฑilo, which encouraged the participants to see failure as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become more resilient.

As the final part of the activity, the participants were divided into two groups and were tasked to brainstorm their proposed advocacy projects, which they will implement from October to November. This activity provided the youth with an opportunity to transform their ideas into meaningful actions and contribute positively to their school and community.

The Youth Development Session will continue until March 2027, with the next session scheduled on December 9, 2026. As the journey continues, may our young participants keep discovering their inner spark, building their confidence, learning from challenges, and sharing their light with others.

Bilang pakikiisa sa paggunita ng National Tuberculosis (TB) Day noong Agosto 19, nagsagawa ang Municipal Operations Office (MOO) ng Mercedes ng Family Development Session (FDS) na may temang โ€œTogether TB-Free Family.โ€ Layunin ng aktibidad na mapalawak ang kaalaman at kamalayan ng mga benepisyaryo ng programa tungkol sa tuberculosis (TB), kabilang ang mga paraan ng pag-iwas, maagang pagtukoy, wastong gamutan, at kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng malusog at suportadong pamilya.

Isinagawa ang FDS noong Agosto 26, 2026, sa MDRRMO Mercedes Emergency Operations Center, San Roque, Mercedes, na dinaluhan ng mga benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) mula sa Sitio Pugad Lawin, San Roque, Mercedes. Naging pagkakataon ang aktibidad upang mabigyan ang mga kalahok ng mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa TB at higit nilang maunawaan ang kanilang papel sa pag-iwas sa pagkalat nito sa loob ng kanilang pamilya at komunidad.

Bilang bahagi ng pagbibigay ng wasto at komprehensibong impormasyon, inimbitahan bilang tagapagsalita si ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐’๐ก๐ข๐ž๐ง๐š ๐‘. ๐๐š๐ฌ๐œ๐จ, ๐‘๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ˆ๐ˆ ๐ง๐  ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐Ž๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐ž โ€“ Mercedes. Ibinahagi niya ang kaniyang kaalaman at karanasan hinggil sa tuberculosis, kabilang ang mga pangunahing senyales at sintomas nito, paraan ng paghahatid o pagkalat, mga hakbang sa pag-iwas, kahalagahan ng agarang pagpapakonsulta sa health facility, at pagsunod sa itinakdang gamutan.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng MOO Family Development Unit (FDU) Team, sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa nakatalagang Municipal Link (ML), Mr. Jeric Bermas. Sa pamamagitan ng nasabing sesyon, hinikayat ang mga kalahok na maging mas mulat at aktibo sa pangangalaga sa kalusugan ng kanilang pamilya at sa pagpigil sa pagkalat ng TB, tungo sa pagkakaroon ng mas malusog at TB-free na komunidad.

Nakatulong ang aktibidad upang higit na mapalakas ang ugnayan at pagtutulungan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Municipal Health Office, at ng komunidad sa pagtataguyod ng health awareness at pangangalaga sa kalusugan at kapakanan ng mga pamilya.
