📍 Piloting of the First Barangay Assembly in
Barangay Chitongco, Mondragon, Northern Samar | July 10, 2026

The Piloting of the First Barangay Assembly was successfully conducted today, July 10, 2026, in Barangay Chitongco, Mondragon, Northern Samar. The activity was attended by the Barangay Officials led by Hon. Romeo R. Sabedoria, together with community members who demonstrated their commitment to participatory governance and community-driven development.

During the assembly, participants were oriented on the objectives of the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP). The activity also included the selection of the Barangay Resilience Team (BRT) and the Stakeholder Feedback Mechanism (SFM) Sub-Committee, while encouraging community members to actively participate in KALAHI-CIDSS PCRP activities and work together toward building a more resilient, inclusive, and progressive barangay.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Barangay Officials, community volunteers, and all participants whose support and active involvement made this activity a success. Your dedication is a vital step toward strengthening community resilience and promoting sustainable development.

The 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 was successfully conducted today July 7, 2026, demonstrating the community's continued commitment to sustaining the gains of the KALAHI-CIDSS program.

The activity was participated in by the 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 (𝗠𝗦𝗜𝗧), composed of 𝗢𝗜𝗖-𝗠𝗣𝗗𝗖 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗮, 𝗠𝗦𝗪𝗗𝗢 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗔𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗼-𝗟𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘀, 𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻-𝗢𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼, 𝗠𝗖𝗧-𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. The 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 officially kicked off the implementation of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗣𝗖𝗥𝗣) with a 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 Activity held on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, participated in by the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT), the Area/Municipal Coordinating Team (A/MCT), and the KALAHI-CIDSS RPMO Representative . The motorcade symbolized the municipality’s collective commitment to promoting community resilience and marked the official launch of the PCRP in Mondragon.

The 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 successfully conducted also the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗣𝗖𝗥𝗣) 𝗠𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗧 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝗺 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held on 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗗𝗼ñ𝗮 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮.

The activity served as an important milestone in strengthening the municipality's preparedness and commitment toward implementing the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP).

The program featured presentations on the composition and roles of the MResT, municipal profiling and data requirements, the establishment of the Municipal Stakeholders Feedback Mechanism Committee, the preliminary schedule of resilience planning activities, and the Municipality's pledge of commitment to support the successful implementation of the project.
