Bridging the Digital Divide: A New Chapter for Bagnen Learners

In a significant move toward enhancing digital education, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) officially distributed Bayanihan SIM cards to the students of Bagnen Elementary School and Bagnen National High School. This initiative aims to provide learners with robust internet access, featuring a generous allocation of 25 GB of data per month for an entire year.

The distribution event was a collaborative community affair. Students arrived alongside their parents, highlighting the shared responsibility of navigating the digital landscape. To ensure a seamless transition into this new resource, representatives from Smart Communications were present on-site, providing immediate technical assistance and activating the SIM cards as they were handed out.

Empowering the Community

Knowledge is accessible: Students can now explore vast online resources and educational platforms.

No learner is left behind: The high data allowance ensures that even bandwidth-heavy tasks, like video conferencing and downloading modules, are within reach for everyone.

Support is direct: The presence of telecommunications experts guaranteed that every student left the venue with a fully functional tool ready for learning.

The community of Bagnen expresses its deepest gratitude to the DICT and DepEd for this early gift to our learners. This partnership between the government, the private sector, and the school system paves the way for a more connected and digitally literate generation.
