𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Submission of the Community Fire Prevention Plan 2026 & Coordination Meeting at the Naga City Central Fire Station

📅 June 1, 2026 | 1:00 PM

Punong Barangay Jerrold R. Rito, together with B/Kgd. Vicente Calongui, Chairman of the Committee on Peace & Order and Public Safety, formally submitted the Community Fire Prevention Plan 2026 of Barangay Concepcion Grande to the Bureau of Fire Protection, in compliance with the directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

During the coordination meeting, PB Rito and FCINSP Josephine Jeanette C. Barandon, RN, MAN, Naga City Fire Marshal, discussed collaborative strategies to further strengthen fire prevention and safety initiatives within the barangay.

Both parties agreed to conduct a Fire Safety Training and Fire Hydrant Inspection this June as part of the continuing efforts to enhance community preparedness, promote public safety awareness, and ensure the protection of lives and properties in Barangay Concepcion Grande.

As part of the barangay's continuing commitment to maternal and child health, BNS Cecilia San Pascual, together with BHW Cherry Rambuyong and BSPO Isabel Baldemoro, conducted a post-partum home visitation and one-on-one counseling session with a mother in the community.

The team discussed the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and responsible family planning, highlighting their vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of both mother and child. This initiative supports the intensified implementation of Republic Act No. 11148, also known as the “Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay Act,” which promotes essential health and nutrition interventions during the First 1,000 Days of Life.

Through continuous community-based health services, Barangay Concepcion Grande remains steadfast in promoting healthier families and a stronger future for every child.

Barangay Concepcion Grande officially welcomed the month of June through its Flag Raising Ceremony led by Punong Barangay Jerrold Rito, together with the Barangay Council, personnel, and dedicated volunteers.

The program also highlighted the Induction of Officers of the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Organization, led by its President, Angelo Saliva, reaffirming the barangay's commitment to inclusive community participation and empowerment.
Adding pride to the occasion, barangay officials and personnel proudly wore the newly launched Barangay Concepcion Grande uniforms, symbolizing unity, professionalism, and public service.

Following the ceremony, a General Assembly Meeting for the month of June was conducted, where barangay updates, plans, and priorities were discussed. The gathering also featured a short sharing session among the barangay kagawads, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a stronger commitment to serving the community.
The activity was hosted by the Lupon Department and concluded with a fellowship breakfast and coffee shared among attendees, fostering camaraderie and strengthening the spirit of service within the barangay.

Before the end of May, the Barangay successfully conducted another Kalinisan Day activity along Abella Street led by PB Jerrold Rito together with the Barangay Councils and Barangay Personnel.

This initiative remains part of the barangay’s continuous compliance with DILG requirements while promoting cleanliness, discipline, and unity within the community. Through teamwork and cooperation, we continue to maintain a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for everyone.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Distribution of IEC Materials on Pinggang Pinoy, 10 Kumainments & Nutrition Vision Mission during 4Ps Family Development Session 🍎🥗

BNS Jezzamyr Pagunsan, SFV Yvette Jessybil Mira, and SFV Fely Macawili from the Barangay Nutrition Department conducted the distribution of informational flyers and facilitated one-on-one discussions with 4Ps members during their Family Development Session (FDS).

The activity highlighted the Barangay Concepcion Grande Localized Nutrition Vision and Mission, Pinggang Pinoy, and the 10 Kumainments to help strengthen awareness on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and the importance of making healthier food choices for every family.

Participants were encouraged to apply these healthy practices in their daily lives, especially within their households, in order to promote better health and nutrition not only for their families but also for the entire community of Concepcion Grande.

Together, let us continue building a healthier and nutrition-conscious community. 💚

𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗗! ✨

Three teenagers from our barangay proudly joined the 𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲-𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held on May 26 & 28, 2026 at PAGCOR Event Center, Balatas, Naga City.

Together with 120 dedicated Teen Facilitators from different barangays in Naga City, the participants underwent meaningful learning sessions organized by the City Population and Nutrition Office and UNC Teen Peer Counselors.

The training successfully strengthened the facilitators’ self-awareness, emotional resilience, and leadership maturity while re-organizing and mobilizing a fresh batch of active youth leaders to help reactivate the peer network.

Barangay Teen Peer Facilitators Ehlyza P**n, Jewels Edsel Antonette Groyon, and Nieshalex Castañares were accompanied by Ms. Bhing Brazal-Baldemoro during the said event.

We commend our young leaders for their active participation and commitment in becoming instruments of positive change in the community. 💙

Barangay VAWC Desk Officer Ginalyn Ros proudly attended the 𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗩 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 held on May 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Concepcion Pequeña Barangay Hall.

The activity was organized by the NCGADC, BANTAY FAMILIA, and VAWC Desk Federation to strengthen awareness on women’s rights and protection against abuse and violence.

Participants gained valuable knowledge regarding VAWC laws, women’s rights, and the importance of creating a safer and more empowered community for all women and children.
