I was aiming for a book haul for my special day but...I failed to do so lol. I don't usually celebrate, but today I just want to give myself some appreciation for getting this far. Survival was all I knew, but now I could finally breathe..from today I will cut ties with anything or anyone who doesn't give me peace. I will prioritize self care and my mental health. ❤️❤️❤️

So I think my daughter picked up on my reading habits...and as a mom i'm very proud that out of all the books she could get, she chose the Bible. I'm not a religious person though, and I don't really teach her anything about religion because of my religious trauma. I'd rather have her read it herself and have her own understanding of the passages. This is a new milestone worth celebrating.

If you'd like something dark to read, and would like to dive into the mind of a serial killer, I recommend this one. I read this 2 years ago via the author's ream account. Please do check your triggers though. This is short, fast paced and very very detailed. This is currently free. This is the prequel to the book His Game: The Woods and that one is good too.
