NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur โ 250 students from Grades 5&6, teachers, security personnel, PTA officers, and members of the ARRAPI โ Naga Chapter participated in the Active Shooter: Awareness & Response Training-Seminar Part 2 held on July 21, 2026, at Sta Cruz Elementary School. The activity was spearheaded by ARRAPI โ Naga Chapter.
The training was conducted in response to the growing need for school safety and emergency preparedness, particularly following the recent school shooting incident in the Philippines. It aimed to raise awareness and equip participants with practical knowledge and life-saving skills that can help reduce risks and improve responses during active shooter situations.
The training was facilitated by A1C Danniel Deanne โCoach Deanโ Doma, PAF (Res.) an ARRAPI - Naga member and Chief Instructor of the Tactical Force Close Quarter Combat Self-Defense Academy.
Beyond the lecture sessions, participants engaged in hands-on exercises and scenario-based drills designed to reinforce critical emergency response techniques. Participants practiced procedures that emphasized situational awareness, evacuation, self-protection, and coordinated action during emergencies.
Through initiatives such as this, ARRAPI โ Naga Chapter continues to promote community resilience by empowering schools with practical safety education and preparedness training. The organization hopes that proactive awareness and continuous training will help create safer learning environments and ensure that school communities are better prepared to respond should emergencies arise.
