The Local Government Unit of Nueva Era supports the DILG in implementing the Nationwide Community-Based Clean-up Drive,this program aims to maintain and provide a healthy and safe environment for the people through proper solid waste management with its theme:

Mayor Aldrin Garvida and Vice Mayor Caroline Arzadon Garvida led the Nationwide Tree planting activity together with the Municipal and Barangay Officials, Municipal Employees, Job Order Workers, National government agencies (PNP and BFP) in the municipality. Clearing and cleaning activities were undertaken to ensure environmental protection and management at the Sanitary Land Fill and eleven respective Barangays.

Due to the continuing monsoon rains in Ilocos Norte, classes at the kindergarten and elementary levels in public and private schools are suspended tomorrow, September 4, 2023.

Nonetheless, mayors and school heads may suspend classes at other levels as they deem fit. [A]

Government offices with emergency, health, and frontline services will remain operational.

Respective heads of private companies are likewise encouraged to cancel work to safeguard their personnel.
