Nakauwi na nitong Hunyo 2 ang 150 pamilya o 554 katao mula sa Brgy. Tamlang, Escalante City matapos lumikas at nanirahan pansamantala sa Tamlang Elementary School dulot ng sagupaan ng militar at halos limang miyembro ng NPA.

Ayon kay 1st Lt. Fevie Fajardo ng 79th Infantry Battalion, ang mga rebeldeng kasama sa engkwentro ay responsable sa pagpatay ng mga sibilyan, kabilang ang dalawa sa Calatrava noong Mayo 5 at 14.

Nahuli naman ang suspek na si ‘Jan-jan’ sa isinagawang joint checkpoint, ayon kay Fajardo.
