The Opol Community College Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit successfully conducted its ROTC Opening and Donning of Ranks Ceremony for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027 on 23 August 2026 at 1000H, held at the Opol Community College Gymnasium.

The ceremony marked the beginning of a new training year, highlighting discipline, leadership, unity, and commitment to service. The event was graced by LTC ANSHARY U PUMBAYA INF (GSC) PA, CDC Director/Commandant and keynote speaker, and featured the introduction of the ROTC leadership and training staff, the Donning of Ranks Ceremony, and an inspiring message from C/LTC NEIL S SABELLINA, Corps Commander.

The ceremony concluded successfully at 1100H, officially opening a new chapter of military training for the ROTC Unit. The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the leadership and support of LTC ANSHARY U PUMBAYA INF (GSC) PA, Sgt Donmark R Olarte (Inf) PA, Admin NCO, Mr. Remart C. Salon, ROTC Coordinator, the GMA, and the Advance Officers of the Opol Community College ROTC Unit.

This is a reminder that our ROTC OPENING will be this coming Sunday, 23rd of August 2026. All cadets are expected to attend and arrive on time.

📍 Venue: Opol Gymnasium, Poblacion, Misamis Oriental
⏰ Call Time: 0700H (7:00AM)

👩 FEMALE UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

• White round-neck shirt (tucked in)
• Black or blue maong pants (no joggers or ripped pants)
• Sports bra
• Black/Green garrison belt (silver buckle)
• White or black rubber shoes with socks
• White handkerchief
• Hair in neat black bun with hairnet
• No make-up, accessories, or double lining shirt

👨 MALE UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

• White round-neck shirt (tucked in)
• Black or blue maong pants (no joggers or ripped pants)
• Black/Green garrison belt (silver buckle)
• White or black rubber shoes with socks
• White handkerchief
• Proper haircut (Army cut / 3'0)
• Clean-shaven (no facial hair)
• No accessories

• Sleep early and hydrate well.
• Eat breakfast before reporting.
• Bring your lunches and drinking water.

The Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Opol Community College highlights the spirit of community service, teamwork, discipline, and responsibility demonstrated by the students and ROTC Officers of the Opol Community College ROTC Unit.

On 09 August 2026, the Advance Officers, 1CL and 2CL Cadets, together with the students and NSTP Director, actively participated in the campus clean-up activity. Through their dedication and cooperation, they helped maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the school environment.

This activity reminds us that service is not only about duty—it is about dedicating ourselves to the community and working together for a safer, cleaner, and better school for everyone.

‎The Opol Community College Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (OCC ROTCU) proudly participated in the NSTP Orientation, to led by Mr. Keith Lou Baculio, NSTP Director with giving his short overview about the ROTC. Which officially commenced at 0900H with the solemn Entrance of Colors followed by the singing of the Lupang Hinirang, setting a patriotic and disciplined atmosphere for the program.

‎The ROTC Orientation was effectively led by CDT CPT Neil S. Sabellina (1CL), serving as the Acting Corps Commander, together with his co-presenter, CDT CPT Dela Cruz (2CL). Through a well-organized and interactive presentation, they introduced the mission, vision, and objectives of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, emphasizing that ROTC is more than a training program—it is a foundation for leadership, discipline, patriotism, selfless service, and responsible citizenship.

‎The presenters encouraged active participation from the freshmen through engaging discussions and interactive activities, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and values that ROTC offers. The enthusiasm and participation of the students reflected the growing interest in becoming future citizen-soldiers committed to serving both their school and the nation.

‎The orientation also highlighted the various training programs, leadership development opportunities, community service initiatives, disaster response preparedness, and military customs and traditions that shape every ROTC cadet into a disciplined, competent, and service-oriented individual.

‎The NSTP Orientation concluded successfully with the Exit of Colors, symbolizing the formal closing of the program. The event inspired the freshmen to embrace the ideals of honor, integrity, courage, and patriotism, leaving them motivated to become part of the proud legacy of the Opol Community College Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (OCC ROTCU).
