To strengthen compliance with existing policies and improve the processing of Foreign Travel Authority applications, DILG Ormoc City conducted a Re-Orientation on the Requirements and Process Flow of FTA Applications on May 20, 2026 through Zoom Platform.

The activity gathered LGU employees and barangay officials and served as a venue to revisit the proper procedures, required documentary submissions, and guidelines in accomplishing FTA applications. Discussions also focused on common deficiencies observed in submitted applications and the importance of ensuring complete and accurate information in the FTA Online System.

The re-orientation forms part of the continuing efforts of the Department to promote a uniform understanding of the prescribed requirements and to support the timely and efficient processing of FTA applications among local government officials and employees.

This activity forms part of the โ€œVoices of Open Governance: Orientation and Kick-Off of Cohort LGUs in Eastern Visayasโ€ following the Recognition of Cohort LGUs, Commitment Signing, and Orientation on the Next Steps of the PH-OGP Localization Program.

The forum will discuss the salient features of relevant DILG Memorandum Circulars that promote CSO engagement and co-implementation of programs and reforms with the DILG. DILG Ormoc City Participates in the Kamustahan Tayo! Para sa Karampatang Pamahalaan a Dialogue with ADAC Focal Officers

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Ormoc City actively participated in the regional initiative โ€œKamustahan Tayo! Para sa Karampatang Pamahalaanโ€, a dialogue focused on strengthening Local Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADAC).

The activity brought together DILG provincial directors, cluster heads, program managers, ADAC focal officers from various local government units (LGUs) in Eastern Visayas (Region 8). It served as a platform to discuss best practices, address challenges, provide feedback on the 2026 ADAC Performance Audit, and prepare LGUs for the upcoming 2027 ADAC Performance Audit.

DILG Ormoc Cityโ€™s participation underscores its continued commitment to supporting the City Government of Ormoc in implementing effective anti-illegal drugs programs. Ormoc City has previously been recognized as a National ADAC Performance Awardee with a perfect functionality rating, reflecting its strong performance in areas such as program implementation, monitoring, and community engagement.

Held every Wednesday at the 1st Floor, Good Governance Building, C.S. Mendola St., Brgy. Cogon, Ormoc City, the initiative once again provided free legal consultations, guidance, and support to walk-in clients from various barangays. Volunteer lawyers and law students from the WLC Legal Aid Clinic were on hand to assist residents with a wide range of concerns, including family matters, barangay disputes, basic legal information, and referrals.โฃโฃ

This initiative is also part of the broader efforts of the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Council (MSAC) under the OC-LGRC.โฃโฃโฃโฃ
