𝟑 𝐏𝐒𝐀𝐔 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐖𝐔𝐑𝐈 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Three initiatives led by the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) Office of Innovation (OOI) were recognized among the Top 100 projects in their respective categories in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026.

The recognized initiatives are integrated into PSAU’s innovation, technology transfer, intellectual property, and incubation programs, which operate in collaboration with and received support from the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) under the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program, and the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) Technology Business Incubation (TBI) program.

Among the ranked initiatives were:
• Rank 19 – Sibul Innovate: Transforming Local Ideas Through Technology Business under A4: Entrepreneurial Culture and Ecosystem
• Rank 20 – Invent. Protect. Launch.: A University Engine for Agritech Entrepreneurship under C7: University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects
• Rank 83 – Raising the Bar for AANR: PSAU-led Regional Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for the Agri-Aqua Sector under A3: Industrial Application

The rankings contributed to PSAU's overall placement at Rank 265 worldwide in the WURI 2026 rankings.

The initiatives are implemented under the leadership of Mr. Walter L. Pacunana, OOI Director, with Ms, Divine Reine S. Aquino, Assistant Director, supporting program coordination and implementation, together with Innovation heads and personnel.

The recognition follows PSAU's performance in the WURI 2025 rankings, where the university placed Rank 14 in the Entrepreneurial Mindset category.

The WURI rankings recognize innovative programs and practices of higher education institutions worldwide, highlighting initiatives in entrepreneurship, industrial application, technology transfer, and societal engagement.

Sa buwan ng Mayo, sa ilalim ng 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨.𝟑𝟑 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟗, ating binibigyang pugay ang bawat kontribusyon at pagpapagal ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda sa bansa, sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang ng 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤'𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 (𝐍𝐅𝐅𝐌) na may temang, “𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲-𝐩𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐚’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬”.

Ang kanilang itinatanim na katatagan at patuloy na inobasyon ang humahango sa bansa mula sa krisis na ikinahaharap ng sektor ng agrikultura at ng ating ekonomiya.

Kaya't sa buwan na ito, katuwang ng PSAU-SciCAT LIBUTAd ang Department of Agriculture sa patuloy na pagkilala sa ating mga bayani na walang sawang bumibilad at sumisisid upang punan ang hapag ng milyun-milyong Pilipino.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinong magsasaka at mangingisda! 👩‍🌾🌾

Sa tulong ng mga pananaliksik ni Dr. Fernando A. Bernardo, mas napalakas ang pundasyon ng industriya ng rootcrops sa bansa. Ang kanyang kontribusyon sa agrikultura ang nagbukas ng pinto para sa mas modernong pagtingin sa cassava bilang mahalagang yaman ng ating bayan.
