An I𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽 💯

The 𝐁𝐒 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 had an enriching educational tour here at Bolinao Provincial Mangrove Information Center and Nursery today November 6, 2025. They learned about mangrove ecosystems, conservation efforts and the importance of these coastal habitats.

Ms. Marjorie L. Ednacot expressed a warm welcome to 67 students and conducted a short introduction on the facility of Bolinao Field Station. While Ms. Abegail C. Caracas discussed about the mangroves from seedling propagations to understanding mangrove biodiversity.

Many SUCs from different regions considered to visit our station as a learning/educational site which is a great pleasure to our organization in order to increase the level of awareness specially to students the importance of mangroves.

Rotaract Club of Bolinao Mangrove Planting Activity!

🌿🌊 The Planting Season of Bakhawan Starts a great day for our community! Rotaract Club of Bolinao together with Rotary Club of Mandaluyong, Dagupan, Malasiqui, San Fabian, Rotaract Cluster Representatives, Bolinao Tourism Representatives, BFP Bolinao, PNP Bolinao, Bolinao Disaster Risk Reduction Mgt. Office, Bolinao School of Fisheries, Elpescador Zumba Dance Group and Bolinao Zumba Grp., planted 1,500 pcs of mangrove seedlings today October 12, 2025 at 6:00 in the morning here in OPAg-Bolinao Mangrove Reforestation Area, contributing to coastal protection and a healthier ecosystem.

A Pre-Mangrove Planting Orientation has been discussed and prepared by Abegail C. Caracas, a CRM Focal Person of The Provincial Agriculture Office, for the proper way of planting and growing of Mangroves.

Thousands of mangrove seedlings are readily available at the Provincial Mangrove Nursery located at Brgy. Arnedo, Bolinao, Pangasinan and for those who are interested in mangrove planting activities, the Recommended Season for planting of Mangroves starts from October to April and can be extended until June, just send us a letter of request at our official email address: [email protected]

Shellfishes collected and tested from coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in Pangasinan are STILL POSITIVE for Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP) or toxic red tide that is beyond the regulatory limit.

All types of shellfish and 𝑨𝒄𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒑. or alamang gathered from these areas are NOT SAFE for human consumption. Fish, squids, shrimps, and crabs are safe for human consumption provided that they are fresh and washed thoroughly, and internal organs such as gills and intestines are removed before cooking.

The Provincial Agriculture Office conducted clearing, cleaning and fertigation activity at Daang Kalikasan Muelang Mangatarem, Pangasinan in support of the Pangasinan Green Canopy Program. The program aimed not just to plant trees but also to grow/care the seedlings succesfully.

The Bolinao Field Station, Mangatarem Field Station, Sta. Barbara Field Station, San Quintin Field Station and Lingayen Field Station headed by Ms. Dalisay A. Moya, Provincial Agriculturist, initiated the said activity.
