At 6:15am, Tuesdays to Fridays, every week, I drive the same route to bring my son and school mates to school in Hillsborough. I leave my home in Merville, exit gate 2, take the new access road to the service road, which I then continue on to Bicutan. From that point I drive the SLEX, exit at Sucat and take the service road again to Hillsborough. I know there are other ways, but I find this the fa
stest, most direct route. And I don't mind paying the P34.00 toll fee as I feel I save in gas and time. But, on the Tuesday morning of October 1, 2013, my usual 30-45 minute drive, turned into a 2 hour ordeal. I tried my usual route, panicked with the traffic delays and turned around at Sun valley. Traffic heading to Makati was also jamming the West Service Road, so I ended up going back through Merville, exiting gate 4 and using the C5 extension to Sucat road. Why was the traffic so bad? I made the return trip through Bicutan and the service road, and could only determine that the traffic enforcers at the Bicutan intersection were causing chaos. This particular morning I was wishing there was a way I could of been informed of the delays on the service road. I use the MMDA twitter updates, and other apps, but they never have the information I need, which is "What is traffic like if I'm leaving, or coming to, Merville. So please feel free to post messages to this page informing any user on delays, floods, problems, that may be faced. Even a quick message to say "Service Road to Bicutan is clear", would make my day. If you're offline, just send an SMS to 0917 709 9121 and your update will be posted. Take care Merville residents and friends
