LOOK | PROJECT S.A.M. (SPORTS, ARTS AND MUSIC)

On September 19, 2026, the 520th Air Base Group, led by Col Chester R Guanzon PAF (GSC), Group Commander, 520th Air Base Group, together with its partner stakeholders, conducted Project S.A.M. at Sitio Manggahan, Barangay Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal, in support of the Indigenous People community.

As part of the project, the 520th ABG, in partnership with its stakeholders, facilitated the establishment of a Solar-Powered Music and Arts Room and the construction of a Multi-Sport Court for Basketball, Volleyball, and Pickleball. These facilities were established to provide the Indigenous People with accessible spaces for recreation, physical activities, creativity, and the development of their talents.

The activity also featured various community-centered activities, including Storytelling sessions, Tree planting, Relief operations, friendly games, a Live band Performance, and Medical and Dental Missions for the Indigenous People. Through these initiatives, Project S.A.M. strengthened community engagement, promoted health and wellness, encouraged environmental awareness, and provided meaningful opportunities for recreation, learning, and social interaction in the community.

Through the collective efforts of the 520th ABG and its partner stakeholders, Project S.A.M. reflects the Philippine Air Force’s continued commitment to serving and empowering communities, particularly the Indigenous People, through sustainable facilities, essential services, and meaningful community activities.

LOOK|| INFORMATION DRIVE ON THE WEST PHILIPPINE SEA

The 520th Air Base Group in coordination with the Civil Military Operations Group Philippine Navy, conducted an Information Drive on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) on August 25, 2026, at the Bureau of Corrections, reaching a total of 258 trainees. The activity aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of the current issues, national interests, and developments concerning the West Philippine Sea.

The information drive was facilitated with the support of Commander Lady Chatterly A Sumbeling PN, Subject Matter Expert from the Philippine Navy, who provided relevant information and insights regarding the significance of the West Philippine Sea to the country’s national security, sovereignty, and maritime interests.

The activity reflects the 520th ABG’s commitment to strengthening public awareness, promoting informed citizenship, and supporting the Philippine government’s efforts to safeguard national interests. Through continued information sharing and collaboration, the 520th ABG PIONEERS contribute to building a more informed, responsible, and security conscious community.

Araw ng mga Bayani —Hukbong Himpapawid

“Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear the uniform.”

Sa Araw ng mga Bayani, ating pinararangalan ang mga bayaning nag-alay ng buhay para sa kalayaan at kinabukasan ng ating bayan.

Kabilang dito ang Hukbong Himpapawid na buong tapang na nagbabantay sa himpapawid, tumutugon sa sakuna, nagbibigay ng humanitarian assistance, at naglilingkod para sa kaligtasan at seguridad ng bansa.

Sa bawat misyon at sakripisyo, ipinapakita nilang ang tunay na kabayanihan ay pusong handang maglingkod para sa kapwa at bayan.
